Any information on dessert parties returning?

Park Events Operations, the department that in addition to many other private and special events, put on all the dessert parties at Epcot and DHs has and continues to hire staff. Talking with the CMs, I was told that they fully expect the parties to resume once the reorganization and staffing is completed. It's going slowly because many of the former PEO CMs have either transferred to another department or left the company. They suggested I come out of retirement.

Fastpasser !!! How are you !!?? Do it !!!

I would only return to PEO, it was my home for years. All kidding aside, I have no doubt that the desert parties will return, they were very popular. The one I enjoyed working the most was the Star Wars dessert party at DHS. I doubt it's returning though.

While I always thought the MK party was the most valuable one, the Star Wars party was, hands down, the most organized and well done with absolutely the best food. We did it 3 times and were never disappointed. It’s sad to think it won’t be back.

I'm doubting it will return because the party existed because they had the SW night time show and now with the opening of Galaxys Edge, I can't imagine they need to have the SW show anymore. It was an expensive show to put on and they had it in order to keep people in the park. But what do I know.

Makes sense, even if I don’t like it! :)

What does PEO stand for?

Does anyone know if the dessert parties are returning

I'll speculate.
Absolutely yes. Too much $$$ on the table.
No later then October 1.
An event such as a concert which sells out quickly was under priced. I don't think Disney will make that mistake

Disney hosted a dessert party for vloggers/bloggers the night they brought back Happily Ever After. If they can do it for them I think it will be back for regular guests by Oct 1st? At this point I feel like what they are offering for the 50th is fairly lackluster so they're trying to pump up excitement by bringing back all of the regular events we already had access to.

Ugh. I was really hoping it would come back by end of August for our trip. I love the dessert parties! Apparently only the big 5-0 matters!

An ex-CM who used to work at the dessert parties said in a thread that they were having staffing issues. They tried to get him to come out of retirement to work them again. I don’t think they are waiting for the 50th. I think it’s just a matter of staffing. Doing a one-off party for media after hours is a lot different.

I think it will be rolled out one park at a time pending staffing with hopefully everything up and running for the 50th.
