My family and I are planning a grand gathering for the middle of December. I am trying to gather as much information that I can. I have only been to WDW once (13 years ago). I have read some really great ideas so far but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on time and money savings in the actual parks. I have heard about a Fast Pass but I don't know how or when you get those. Thanks!

Fast Passses are great on long line rides and new rides. Great money saver it to take breakfast on your own, not in the parks your looking at about 10$ a day just for one person saved.

When you go to a park some of the main attractions will offer fast passes. If there is a long line that you don't want to wait in, look around and see if there are fastpass machines. If so, take your park ticket and stick it into the machine. Along with your ticket back, it will give you a small piece of paper that states a time you can come back to the ride and enter a separate line that bypasses the long line. Don't lose that piece of paper, you will need it to enter the fastpass line.

Go to the DVC Rent/Trade board and see about renting an owner's points to
reserve a larger "villa" accomodation. If you are going with a large group, this
will give you more space, a full kitchen, laundry room, all the things that can
save you $$$. There is a thread on renting points to give you all the information
you need. You will have a blast! December is the absolute best time to go!

Ask about getting a small refrigerator in your room. We did this when the kids were small. Store some milk, juice, fruits, jelly, sodas in there and with some cereal and bread you can save quite a bit on meals and treats. Plus it gave the kids something to do while we were getting ready for the day.
