I can only find info about the watersports at Contemporary...anyone know about the water mice at BC

how old do you have to be to drive
does it seat 2?
how much?
reservations in advance?

thanks

I think ability to drive is driven more by height than age. When there in 2006, my 12 year old could have driven on her own, but she was not tall enough.

It does seat one adult and one child - not sure if you could get 2 adults in one.

I don't remember the price, but probably similar to price at Contemp.

Advance reservations are generally not needed - just walk up and there will usually be several mice there ready to go.

The BC mice are by height but you also have to be at least 12 years old. I forget the height requirement. I'm think 56" or 60". I would call guest services and ask. One word of warning, the EPCOT resort area water mice as well as DTD/SSR/OKW/PO mice are very slow. It is a really cool thing for a first time rider at the age close to 12 because they can drive them all by themselves. My DS thought it was cool when he was 12 but when he rode them at age 13 he said he'd rather ride as a passenger in the mice on the Seven Seas Lagoon (Poly/CR/WL/GF) because they go much faster. When I rode one at the BC I wanted to be like the Flintstones... pick up the boat with my arms, paddle with my feet and say "Yabba Dabba Doo" to see if that would make it go faster!:rotfl: The ride did give a slight breeze to combat the hot Florida sun, though! If you have a non-driving child who is riding one for the first time, they will enjoy it because it will make he or she feel independent! If you have a child under 12, they will also probably enjoy it but I believe an adult will have to operate it. (Before DS could operate the mice by himself, I would let him steer from the passenger seat. He thought that was pretty cool!
Yabba dabba doo!!!

The cost is $25 for 30 minutes. I think it is $35 for 45 minutes (we did 30 minutes). At Crescent Lake (YC / BC) a child must be 12 years old and at least 5' tall to drive.

We took the water mice out in Seven Seas lagoon...yes, you have to be 12 and at first we had my 12 year old drive. The thing to watch out for is in Seven Seas there is a lot of other boat traffic. You have to stay away from those ferries! After a while she didn't want to drive anymore. But going over to the old Discovery Island was kind of cool and there is much less boat traffic over there.

Where did you go to rent them and what is the cost?

We rented them at the Poly and they cost (accoriding to what I see on the internet) about $22/half hour?
