Any info on VWL?

We just bought at VWL and was curious to find out if anyone had any information about the accommodations (i.e. room condition, etc.), restaurants, customer service, etc. Also, has anyone had any problems with being asked to change rooms after spending part of their vacation in a particular hotel. My mother-in-law told me she had friends that are DVC members and had been asked on a vacation to "change" rooms several times during their stay. They were also asked to change hotels once during their stay. I don't believe this to be true. Any comments?

Will be staying at VVWL at the end of this month so I can't help you as far as that. I can't even imagine being asked to change rooms/hotels in the middle of my DVC vacation. Could your MIL be a little confused? Maybe for some reason, she is not a fan of the Disney Vacation Club? I know how MIL's can be

We just returned from the VWL. The rooms were very nice--we had a 1 bedroom. Similar in layout to BWV. It's a walk to the food and to the pool if you don't get a room near the entrance. We did not receive a welcome home on registering. The entire staff at WL was wonderful, but our room wasn't ready til almost 4 because of the Easter crowd. We loved it and can't wait to go again.

Changing rooms will only occur if the reservations are made that way. Even if you add days to an existing reservation, just ask to have them linked together and you won't have to move.

A combination of cash reservations and point reservations could cause a move. A resort change would be done only because the reservation was made that way- NOT because guests were asked to move.

Rest assured the VWL is a great resort and the accommodations are all top notch. If you ever encounter a room condition less than expected, make sure to let the resort know so that it may be corrected to your liking. Enjoy your membership and Welcome Home!
