These people are the funniest thing! They're better than any attraction in MGM, IMHO. I could just sit on the street corner and watch them perform all day! So does anyone have any info about these very talented performers? Like where they got their training? How long they've been at MGM, and the variety and # of "characters"? I've looked, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any schedule for their performances.

I am interested in this too. Oddly, we spent an entire day at MGM and never saw even one? How can we best see these folks

These folks are one of my favorite things about MGM but they haven't seemed to be out as much as they used to be.
We have some of the funniest video of the utility workers.....and I believe Mr B. from that trio is in the movie Princess Diaries 2.

I still have to verify that with my vacation videos....I know I've seen him in several parades not to mention at the Comedy Warehouse. :earboy2:
Sheesh, I feel like a stalker here. It's just that we laughed SO hard at their antics while at MGM that the memory of their faces/voices stayed with us.

I hope to find some down-time on our next trip so we can relax and enjoy a few of their "shows".

One Friday in December I didn't realize that MGM was closing at 7pm for a private function, and went to see the Osborne lights at 655pm.

I made it to the end of the street and found the Christmas tree lot, with a few of these characters. By now it was well after 7pm and they kept commenting on how there were so few people that night. There were two kids who got some really special treatment.

Basically, they put on a private show for about 10 people until some cast members came by at about 720pm and put a sudden end to the show! Turns out that nobody had told the performers either that the park was closing early! We all strolled out and had the light show to ourselves. (If you've never closed a park by being one of the last people out, try it sometime - it usually takes an hour for everyone to leave, and it's a nice way to end the day)

our favs at mgm are gracie and roman holiday.....they are hilarious.....

The Streetmosphere performers are good, yes, but someone really needs to tell them not to yell into a microphone, or alternatively, not yell when you're wearing a body mic.

One of the first things I learned when I started doing TV crew stuff for my local cable access station ... NEVER yell into a mic. Everytime I see the Streetmosphere performers at MGM, at least one of them is breaking this rule. Hurts the ears.

On Thanksgiving my last day at MGM they were out, but not until later in the day, so they had a chance to spend some of it with family I assume.... :flower1:

I love the Dapper Dans on Main Street and I love the acts before the parades start-always funny!!
D.D.

I second the comment about the Christmas tree lot. Crazy Andy was hilarious, and his act just seemed to go on and on with every new person who came up to watch. It was the best part of the Osborne Lights area that night.

My SIL's sister ( and a former high school classmate of mine) is one of the Streetmosphere characters. She used to play a character named Greta Garbage but I believe she now has developed at least one other new character. She is a professional Equity actress as are all the Streetmosphere characters, I believe. They develop their own characters, and appear at various times during the day. "E" has been doing this at least 7 - 8 years and worked at Epcot previous to her MGM stint. If anyone wants further info, I can email her questions.
