They seem "cheap" but are rated 3*'s at Hotel.com.

Thanks!

(Still trying to do Disney on a budget to celebrate my 36th biday on Jan 24)

I went there last year in May. I wanted a cheaper hotel, because I was going alone.
I survived, but won't return.

Rooms weren't too clean, AC was so loud I turned it off and felt miserable because of the heat, but the AC was so bad...
I never dared to use the pool, to many weird people hanging around, I didn't feel 100% safe. (but it was just me, then 26yo non-American female).
Food at food court was edible, but that's all you could say about it.

Shuttle to Disney... well... it ran once in the morning, once in the evening, the black driver was nice, the white one was a jerk. Shuttle served many hotels, if you weren't on it as one of the first people, you had to stand. It could take up to as much as 1.5 hours in the evening before you were back at your hotel again.

It's cheap. I did receive a letter from them explaining that they were refurbing their rooms yada yada yada, but I don't intend to go back.

Sorry I haven't stayed there.

But you should check www.homeandaway.com. You can punch in your dates. There are tons of 2 bedroom condos for $60-$80 per night. Now most of them in that price range aren't the "closest" to WDW, but most are well within a 15-20 minute drive.

If you really want a hotel, some people are saying good things about the Quality Suites maingate.... generally in the $50 - $60 per night price range for a standard room.

Good luck!

Lisa
