I'm looking for a couple of cheap bean bag chairs-- so far I haven't found anything less than $20-$30, which... I dunno, seems like a lot for a bean bag chair, you know?
Any ideas for where I might be able to find some even cheaper?
I've bought several at Walmart for $15, some I bought in store and some online. We have 4 of them now and they are holding up to my tween dd and her friends.
Big Lots! I looked and looked for one at Christmas for my DD and was having a hard time finding anything cheaper than $40. Walked into Big Lots and found one for either $10 or $15 (can't remember which) and it was a cloth cover, not plastic/vinyl.
Thanks, guys! I haven't looked yet at Big Lots or Wal-Mart; maybe I'll head over there tomorrow. I did find some at Garden Ridge today for $20-- the cheapest so far. So I'll probably go back there if I can't find anything better.
The ones I saw at Big Lots recently were *very* small. Good for little kids but not tweens or teens. I ended up buying one at Pier 1 for a lot more than you want to spend (about $80 on sale) but it's really big and has a soft "furry" cover.
My older daughter wanted some this past xmas. I ordered the vynal ones from walmart...but they messed up. (only one made it to the store....some how the other one that was shipped to store the same day went MIA)
I didn't want only one...so i was on the hunt again. Found 2 in Target.... they were better, and only a few dollars more. These were material....not plastic.
the were about $22.00 or $25.00. My daughter loved them!
This is actually a good time to shop for bean bag chairs since a lot of stores include them with outfit your dorm room type sales.
I saw some at Bed, Bath & Beyond this weekend. I didn't pay attention to the price or quality though.
DD was spoiled by having The Big One from Lovesac in her apt last year. She's moving to a different apt this year and she informed me that she would really like a new one... at over $1,000 that's not happening.
We got my daughter's last year at Target when they had the Outfit your Dorm Room sale. I can't remember the price but it must have been reasonable or I wouldn't have bought it for her!
We also saw them at Wal-Mart at back to school time fairly cheap.
If you want one that lasts I wouldn't go for a cheap one. All it'll take is for someone to flop in it one too many times for it to explode and leave you with a mess.
We got DD one last Christmas from Lands End. They sell a bean bag insert and seperate covers. I used a 40% off one item code that DH and I each got and one ordered the insert and the other the cover. If you sign up at Lands End they often e-mail out offers like this.
