Any Ideas to make 40th bday special?

Hi all,

We will be heading down first week of October. Our first night we will be celebrating my brother-in-law's 40th birthday. Any suggestions/ideas on where to dine to make this special? I guess I should add that he doesn't exactly LOVE alot of attention. We prefer fun over fancy.

There are just so much to choose from. I'd love to hear your birthday experiences.

A birthday cruise is definetly more fun than fancy. They are also more private than dining in a restaurant. We did one for my FIL a few years back and it is one of our all time favorite memories.

Our birthday cruise left from the Yacht and Beach club and included a to-die-for birthday cake, drinks and snacks. I think it cost a little over $200, not sure, but we had 11 people on board so if you have enough people and divide up the cost, it's a bargain!

They parked our boat under the bridge in EPCOT where we had a front row viewing of Illuminations from the water. It was so great.

If you want to show him a good time without too much embarrassment, this will do it.

We did the cruise for my mom's birthday...it was pretty nice but because of the way the wind was blowing we were MAJORLY smoked out from the fireworks--we really couldn't even see most of them...


Fun without tons of PERSONAL attention would be Teppanyaki or Biergarten

Make sure you pick up a birthday badge at City Hall in the MK for the "birthday boy"!

I would try California Grill in the Contempary resort. If you time it right you can watch WISHES from up there.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm sure whatever we decide will be wonderful... after all.. it's Disney!
