Any ideas/help on this?

I just ordered some pictures from America. The company offered me free shipping and I paid the total amount. I have an invoice from them, amongst numerous confirmation emails.

Today I received an email saying that they require $130 more for shipping to England, as they "didn't realise" I wasn't in the USA, so the free shipping does not count. However, my UK address is clearly detailed on the invoice, which states free shipping.

I don't want to loose these pictures, but at the same time I won't pay $130 to have them shipped. Is the company under any legal obligation to supply the goods for the original, stated price as detailed on the invoice? Or should I just give up?

Thanks!

I think that you may be fighting a losing battle here :(

Have they said why postage is $130?? that seems like and incredible amount for some photos unless they are poster size and coming already framed ;)

Okay :(

They are large framed giclee prints.....that's why it's so expensive.

Thanks anyway. :)

Oh Frances, what a shame. Is there a way round this - could you get it shipped to your accommodation when you next go to New York?

Karen, that never even went through my mind! I shall give them a call over the weekend and ask if they would be able to hold the package for me until we arrive. The only problem might be getting them safely on the plane, but I suppose we could take them to a post office in New York and see if we can get the cost down a little.

Thank you! :wizard:

Fingers crossed you can work something out! :wizard:
