We are planning a trip in late January/early February with our 3 year old for a couple of weeks. I would really like to stay somewhere that has a fridge or kitchenette to make things easier and less expensive for food. I was wondering if anyone had any good experiences at any off-site suites that are somewhat inexpensive (We really don't want to go over $120 a night) Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Jen :D

Check hotelkingdom.com for suites. Then check tripadvsior.com, bidfortraveling.com for hotel reviews and travelocity.com for hotel reviews.

I have stayed at two of the Hawthorn Suites near WDW - the Lake Buena Vista one, and the one by SeaWorld. The Lake Buena Vista is nicer and newer, and a quick easy drive into Downtown Disney. I have gotten it for about $85 a night, and I seen people get it even cheaper than that. The SeaWorld location is older, but still very clean and safe. I got it as low as $59 a night. :)

Hope you enjoy your trip!

I looked up the Hawthorne Suites and the sea world one is 69 a night through hotelkingdom. I was just wondering how good this hotel is for a preschooler-- since we may want to take a couple of days to just hang out at the hotel. Are there things to do like a kids pool, etc.. thanks!

We stayed at the Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club in July. We had a two bedroom, two bath condo with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, big screen tv, screened-in balcony. The condo was 1,500 square feet. The complex has a golf course, at least two pools, mini-golf, etc. Our condo was only two months old. The Wyndham Palms is about five minutes from WDW. We got this condo through hotelkingdom.com at the rate of $89 per night.

I don't think you would be disappointed.

Have fun!

We've stayed at Homewood Suites in Kissimmee, Quality Suites Maingate and Days Suites Maingate. I would recommend all of them. Homewood has a nice breakfast buffet. Quality Suites has a decent buffet. Days doesn't include breakfast but is right next to Old Town which is a great attraction.

But my top recommendation would be to agree with antmaril and recommend checking out places like Wyndham Palms or Windsor Palms. Both are relatively new complexes of rental homes and condos. You can get a 3-bedroom pool house for about $100/nite or a 2 or 3 bedroom condo for as little as about $55/nite. Much more space than any of the suite hotels, practically brand new units and resort amenities.

In addition to the sites mentioned, also check:

Other options are Buena Vista Suites and Summerfield Suites.

You can get a 2 bedroom condo for $260 for a week.

I also agree to check out Hotelkingdom. I have seen the Amerisuites Calypso Cay for $44 in Nov.

I don't think the time you are going is busy, so you should be able to find good deals.

Have you checked out the sheraton safari. Its right next to DTD and the crossroads. They have an awesome pool with snake slide that our 3 ds loved.

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but I saw a mention here of the Summerfiled Suites.

I couldn't find the suites on the Wyndham web site. Do they still exist?

Any other suggestions for a suites hotel? Anyone been to the Buena Vista Suites lately?

Antmaril- if you don't mind me asking, or anyone else for that matter that may know the answer.
How on earth did you get that rate for wyndham palms resort thru Hotel kingdom? Right now they are showing the 2 bdrm for 187.88 for dec. Am i missing something?

It was a great deal. My guess is that it was cheap because it was the middle of July. Keep checking though - you might be able to find a good deal. I've had good luck at hotelkingdom.com

When I booked this suite last year, I went to the Wyndham.com website to see how much it would be if I booked directly through Wyndham. That two bedroom suite was well over $200 a night, so my $89 was great. The suite was VERY nice and huge!!

Good luck!
