Any ideas for a romantic event....

Hi

I am struggling to think of ideas for a romantic event during our stay, as we got married in Disney in 2004 we like to have a little celebration every time we visit

We have done the fireworks (Wishes Cruise - Wow!!!!)
We have visited the restaurants (thus far Jiko is my favourite!)
We have been to Discovery Cove and swam with the dolphins
We have also taken a balloon ride

This year money is a little tighter and I would really like to pull all the stops out and 'romance the pants' excuse the expression off of my husband as we have not had a good year

Any ideas would be so gratefully appreciated

What about a carriage ride? Know they are at Fort Wilderness, thinking another hotel too, just can't remember which one. Not sure where you are staying but if its a deluxe, what about something from the hotel bakery, like choc covered strawberries or a replica wedding cake (minature) There are some great pics on the dining board (post your pics thread). A couples massage at the Grand Floridian is about $200, very relaxing and romantic. If I think of any more I'll let you know

watching fireworks from GF beach in a little cabana with an evening picnic and a blanket to snuggle under.....oh and deet

Saratoga Springs Resort are doing carriage rides apparently.

Can't beat Victoria and Alberts. We are going back this year while are friends look after DD. We will return the favour for them while they dine at Portobello at DTD

Not sure on the price but i know another couple who got married there arranged private dining on the beach by the wedding pavillion.

You book it through the GF private dining, they have standard menus that you can pick from or you can choose your own. They set up a table for you with a CD player - this couple had some of their ewdding songs played. They can do a mini recreation of your wedding cake too. They got to watch the water pagent and wishes from the beach too.

This seems like a romantic sleigh ride to me, I would love it.....I also read that they give you the option of having Christmas carols piped in. I had called maybe 3 weeks ago but they didn't have any information nor were they taking reservations. But I haven't checked lately....

Holiday Sleigh Rides -- Enjoy a leisurely 30-minute carriage ride through the Walt Disney World backwoods from November 30 - December 30! All rides depart from the Porte Cochere in front of the Wilderness Lodge and will return to the same location every half hour between 5:30pm and 10:00pm (December 24th hours are 3:00pm - 7:00pm). Cost is $35 (tax included) per carriage. To reserve call WDW-PLAY; Please arrive 15 minutes prior to ride time. For same-day bookings, call 407-824-2832. A fee will be charged for no-shows or for cancellations within 24 hours. No smoking allowed. You may bring drinks on board. The ride will go out in mist, but not in rain. Trips may be cancelled due to inclement weather and rescheduled in which case you will not be charged.

The Chef's Table at La Coquina over in the Hyatt Grand Cypress. Oh, honey....that's seriously romantic! We're talking a 12 on a scale of 1-10.

SimonV and I just did their Sunday Champagne Brunch, which is also way up there on the romance scale. We had a window seat (which added to it) and we were there for nearly 3 hours, just slowing down, taking our time and enjoying the atmosphere (and the food! Lordy!!). We both agreed it was one of the most romantic settings we've enjoyed in a long time.

Hemmingways' at the Grand Cypress is another fabulous choice. For us, being together in a setting where we can reconnect rather than planning an active event is the most romantic sort of evening (or prelude to an evening), so I guess I'm a bit biased.
