Any idea when Jambo's opening for DVC?

I'm considering adding a few days at Jambo in January. However, I would prefer not to be moved, especially to Kidani, which just isn't for me. So there's no sense for me to book Jambo unless it's open. Anyone have any idea what Disney's plans are?

They have not announced, but I am sure we should hear something about WDW hotels soon,

I can not imagine it won’t be open by January.

We are booked for Jambo in July. We called this morning to verify that it will be open and not closed as some are reporting. The CM said that Jambo will not be opening in June, but will be opening in early July.

Maybe that's a sign that they will be opening the regular hotel rooms. I don't see why they would open Jambo DVC rooms and not hotel rooms.

I have a jambo reservation for June 22 in a value studio. When I called MS they in fact confirmed jambo will be open.. worse case they move me to a bunglo at value points lol

Given what is now posted on the website, that just sounds wrong. I'd call back and ask for a Supervisor if you get the same response.

Once you arrive, you are very likely to spend a lot of time trying to straighten things out, only to end up with very limited or no choices. My advice (which you didn't ask for and are free to ignore) is to call now while you may still have some options.

After having the morning to think about it I totally agree. We have 500 points so I guess its just figuring out where to go now

They didn’t take the rooms out of booking,,,they cant, but guests who show up when it’s closed, will be moved to Kidani.

So, the good news is that you should be charged value points but be moved To something else.

What if they don't have rooms left since they seem to not be closing kidani or Jambo down? Say kidani is full and now they have Jambo people to move.. just seems really messy.

Then they will have to open Jambo. They know exactly what is booked and when and will know when to open Jambo up.

IMO, it will open when they open the AKL hotel side.

Looks like we have a date. July 10th. But AKL is not, so very possible, no pools or other things will open.

I’m still waiting to hear about our club level reservations through December. I can’t imagine they are going to run CL for just those five rooms on the 6th floor, but I’m very curious to see how they are going to handle whatever modifications they make to the reservations and how much lead time they are planning to give us to let us know.
