Any idea on when airtran will release feb. Fares?

I'm wondering if they will be releasing their Feb. schedule soon because it is now showing up on their website where you put in the dates. A couple days ago it only showed January.

At this point there aren't any flights listed, just says February. Maybe it will be within the next week or so? Who knows...

Hmmm...........I dunno about that.

January has been up on the date scroll for at least 2 months now, and January dates have yet to be released.

Welp, airfares on Air Tran shot through the roof. I am praying that the prices come back down when the new dates are released....

For our route, it went from $58 each way to $109! I just want to cry!

We were looking for a long time for late November fares. Traveling over the Thanksgiving week. When they released them the fares were over $550 from DAY to MCO. We were not buying. We ended up leaving a day earlier and flying home a day later to get much cheaper fares. We still have a Kayak alert for our original dates and the prices have only dropped about $75 from what they were originally.

We too are waiting for Airtran fares for over New Years. It looks like we might have to wait even longer to get our flights home if January is posted later....

I called Airtran today and they said they weren't releasing anymore flights until the end of June or beginning of July. I couldn't wait for them anymore! I just booked a flight from MKE to MCO on Christmas day with Midwest Express. $88 per person...

I'll worry about my flight home later.

I am really surprised about that. Thanks for calling, definitely......just a little surprised.

From everything I have monitored from Air Tran, they pretty much ALWAYS release their fares before Southwest. So, I was sure that they would be releasing them before Southwest (June 23rd).

Why doesn't airtran post on its website what its booking dates are through and when to expect new dates to be released like southwest? For a newbie to airtran in our area, I just thought they were flying on the dates I picked in Jan when nothing came up after my date search. I know they don't fly every day from our local airport so it would help someone like me know what the booking window is right in plain english on their website. How hard would that be?

Well I sucked it up and ponied up the $129 for MCO-MDT( return trip) It still works out better than what I paid last year and the plus side is it is direct.

certain airports are up....I need SRQ ( Sarasota)missed the initail low ratees and now have a price of $100 even now you KNOW that is going to drop the second I book.....

Ladies and gentleman......

AirTran has released dates and times through February 10th! The only fares up right now are regular coach and business. The discounted fares have not been released yet, but at least we have a time frame we are looking at.

I guess we are going to wait till the web special prices are released before we make any decisions. If it is $75 or higher eahc way, we will probably wait and see what Southwest is doing. Hopefully Southwest will drive the prices lower. We'll see.

I just KNEW AT would not wait till after SW to release fares! Yay!

AirTran tends to be far ahead of Southwest in releasing their schedules.
