I know it's mostly wives or so it seems.
Little different in my family. I do all the planning and just run it by the wife to make sure there will be no complaining. She likes Disney World a lot but it helps to make sure everyone is on board. Any other guys in my boat?

I used to do a lot of planning, but when we got into DVC, DW picked up a lot of the effort. She sorta likes the strategizing of the points, plus she loves looking for deals on air fare & car rental. Now I'm in charge of determining park days, and getting the ADRs done.

I end up doing all the planning for all our vacations, my wife's input tend to be at the level of what time of year and size of room. My wife does has opinions about resorts and restaurants, so I put together a plan and she usually just rubber stamps it.

I do all of the planning. Once I get it to a point where it can be shared and the wife and I sit down for "spreadsheet time". Go over what it is, what if's, alternatives, etc. This happens 4-6 times per trip...

Oh no - I do all the planning.... definitely the Husband :). Also 63 and Italian :). What - you thought that demographic was going to let anyone ELSE do the planning? :).
Just me... planning a WDW vacation is absolute Hell. It CAN be done, but I am NOT going to inflict that pain on my dear wife :).

I do all the planning, soup to nuts, and share it with DW when complete. Occasionally, ask for feedback when I can't decide on something. Believe it or not, I enjoy the planning. When I get started and rolling, get out of my way.

DW doesn't like hi-rises or split stays so as long as I adhere to those requests I pretty much can and do plan everything.

I'm in the same boat as you skateshome. I plan but am smart enough to run everything by her and get her thoughts.

Wife and I split the work. I pick the dates and secure the accommodations and deal with the DVC account along with member services, wait lists, room requests, and checkin. She handles the ADRs and fastpass selections. Think I might have it a little easier but it works for us.

I'm with you guys. The only input I get is on the week, and that is to make sure she doesn't have anything work related scheduled. I ask for input but don't get much, other than a dining reservation or two that she would like to have. Once I get it all worked out, I give the big presentation of all the details and, as someone else said, she rubberstamps it. She jokes that all she needs to know is what time the flight leaves and if I got the ADR's she wanted. Just the way I like it. This time I made the mistake of asking my 15 year old son if he had any input and immediately regretted it. Lots of opinions there.

We are doing our first split stay this December. She has some concerns about unpacking and packing twice, so we will see how this goes.

Yes, I do all the planning and then tell my wife.
And then I stalk the website and find additional options, and ask her opinion. She's always "happy with what we already have booked."
And then I stalk the website some more and find better options. And I change our reservation. And when I tell her, she asks, "why?"
And now she's disappointed that we haven't stayed at SSR yet.

The only reason my wife keeps me around is to plan her vacations.:duck: If something ever happen to me, she wouldn’t have a clue on how to book a room.:scared1:

Another husband here that does all the planning. I typically plan options for dining with a spreadsheet and everything ahead of time and send an email to her and others coming along, it's not uncommon to get no response. At least so far she's never complained, we'll see how many more years it keeps up :rolleyes1

Another one that does all of the planning. DW usually laughs at all the planning I do (she claims she is not a planner), but she is always happy with the results.
