Any hotwire.com pros our there?

I am interested in this site vs. Priceline since I can book a room for 4 this way (priceline only guarantees double occupancy which would not work for us).
I am interested in booking Playa del carmen, Mexico through Hotwire.com

Does anyone know of a web site/message board that I can visit to learn the ins and outs of priceline before I consider booking through the web site.

I've used Priceline to book last minute hotel stays where you nominate the price you will pay. Last hotel stay was for Courtyard Inns and Suites, paid $65USD instead of $140CDN, so I was happy! Only guarantees a night for 2, last time we stayed, the hotel gave us a king size bed when we went with DS 4, so plenty of room for us all to sleep.
