To the Anaheim Convention Center? I'm taking my DD to Vidcon from October 22nd to the 24th. We'll probably only be there two nights. I checked out prices for the Anaheim Hilton and it's over $400 a night.

I just checked prices for the Anaheim Marriott, which is right next to the Hilton and their rooms are under $200 a night. Something doesn't seem right, and I'm positive I looked up the right Marriott.

Hilton might be housing more of the convention guests/group rates- so that's why rates could jump higher for their property, but not Marriott.

It happens a lot with convention style hotels even 200%+ rate change if they're high occupancy. (Same for Vegas, $100 a night vs $400 a night if group is in house)

I just got the same result. I would totally book the Anaheim Marriott.

My DH plans on staying there for Star Wars Celebration next year. Interestingly, it’s the opposite for that convention — the Marriott is the official hotel, and when we looked, it was more expensive than the Hilton.

Thanks for letting me know. My DD is devastated. I just filled out the refund request since there's no guarantees the same YouTubers will be there in 2022. This sucks!!!
