I am so used to car rentals in MCO but now we are heading to Denver for 1st time.

We are flying in/out Denver airport 6/27-7/5 pu/dropp off same time would be 4:00pm.

Any good ideas for cheapest rate on car rentals. We are family of 5 so we usually get mid size SUV or larger. I am not sure what is on site. So far what i have seen is very high.

Most of the codes i am finding are for florida. If there is a different place to look I will check into it. If anyone has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

You will pay alot to rent a SUV in Denver from the airport, very popular choice here even when it doesn't snow. Do you have an Entertainment book, there are some coupons in there with codes?

I know you said a family of 5, and if the kids are older this might make things, tight, but you could save alot of $$$ by renting a full size car. My family of 5 fits in a Chevy Impala with some room left when we have rented that type/size of car in Florida.

Thank you! I am going for the full size. I guess now SUV in Colorado. I have the entertainment book too so I will play around with the codes as well. My kids are 12,10 and 7 so the little one in the middle in the back seat should work.

Cant wait!!! Every picture i have seen so far looks amazing : )

I've had very good luck with Priceline in Denver. I think the last trip I got a midsized car for about $12 a day. The cheapest rates I was seeing were around $36 a day at the time. If you are not picky about what company you get, you might give that a try.

Thanks. Will look into priceline as well. I am not picky where the car comes from :)

If you have never used priceline before, You will not see great rates on priceline's main webpage, the truly good deals through priceline come from the "name your own price" section. I usually see what the prices are on the main page, and then quite a bit lower than that.

Based on the ages a full size will do fine and you will save more $$$ on gas as well, especially if you go up to the mountains where the gas can run .20 to .40 cents a gallon more than in Denver.

Hope you have a great time here in Colorado!

Check Advantage for good rates in Denver - I've had excellent luck with them on several occasions for an SUV. They are off site but I think most, if not all, car rentals companies in Denver are off site. I think their website is Advantage.com.
