Any health warnings for Indiana Jones ride?

Is is really rough? Is it like the Dinosaur ride in WDW? Or is it more like Mr. Toads?

It's really rough, especially if you sit in the last two rows. I have to really hold on when I go on it. It is the same type of ride as Dinosaurs.

I've never been on the dinosaur ride before but the few times I have been on the Indy ride I felt it was rough. The first time I sat on the end of the row and everytime we went around a turn I felt like I was going to fly out of the jeep! Never again will I sit on the end of a row if I can help it. It's not THAT bad just a little rough and bouncy at times. I'm not sure of the health warnings I'm sure they are the same as every other ride at disneyland. It's a fun ride!

So for a less bumpy ride, sit in the front, in the middle seats??

I find Indy to be much smoother than Dinosaur personally. Same style ride, but much better done...and nowhere near as loud...I hate those dinosaur screeches

I have to agree with o2bBarbie. I felt Dinosaur jerked me around alot more and was alot louder. We always sat in the front row on Indy, so maybe that helped. I love Indy, but with Dinosaur once was enough for me.

They post signs before boarding and an important one is if you have low back problems, you shouldn't ride. My uncle rode it for the first time last Sunday and it reminded him of back home in South Dakota when he'd go hunting in his Jeep. The back roads were awful and he said you had to hang on for dear life when, in those days, they didn't have seat belts! He needs to be careful with his back, but he really loved it! So, then, you get those who'll take the pain just to have fun!

Same ride system as Dinosaur but Dinosaur is more jerky/rough. But it will have all the standard health warnings.

We were in the front row and it was still a bit rough - especially if you have neck or back problems. The ride makes quick turns, jerks back and forth and is bumpy. It is very similar to Dinosaur.

We managed to get on the ride twice, and both times were very jerky, but never excessively so. From memory, we sat in the middle the first time, and up the front/centre the second time around. I certainly recall the second trip being less bumpy, but maybe that was because I was anticipating the drops and turns.

Unlike some rides (Splash Mountain; for e.g.) you are both strapped in and have a bar to hang on to, so you have plenty to steady yourself with.

I have a slightly dodgy back, but the only time I really did my back in was lifting my suitcase on the second last day :)

I agree--I think Dinosaur was MUCH scarier than Indiana Jones--in fact, I love IJ and was really terrified and uncomfortable on the Dinosaur ride. We asked the CM out front if Dinosaur was okay for kids, having no idea what the ride was, and he said yes! Oh my gosh, I took my little four year old on the scariest ride I've personally ever been on (and I've been on all the roller coasters). Indiana Jones is not nearly this bad--it's reallly fun, too :p

My trick is I always ask to be the driver ( you may have to wait 1 car) The steering wheel is much closer to your body then just the general "grab bars" so I can hold on using good body mechanics, and staying "loose" instead of leaning forward and tensing up. Using this tip i never have a problen despite Fibromyalgia.
