Any good rewards credit card offers out?

OK, so my brother and I put out a monthly newsletter and so each month we have certain regular expenses for the printing and postage. He puts these on his AMEX card which is close to maxed out and then pays it off each month. He lives on the other side of the country.

I've been thinking that since I usually pick up the printed issues in person and I'm the one that does the physical mailing out of the issues, it would make sense for me to get a credit card (with a low limit) just to use for the newsletter expenses. I wouldn't be racking up a ton of purchases each month, and it would be paid off each month.

So...are there any good rewards cards? I missed the boat on Southwest as far as the offer with getting the yearly fee waived. DH and I are going to apply for a Costco Amex card - should I just use this or is there a better offer out there? (I DON'T see the point of an annual fee).

Thanks for any input!

Capitol one has good cards i just got one only place i know doesnt charge foreign transaction fee last cruise used cards in Carribbean paid a lot for using out of country this time will useCapitol one i pay balance every month .

I have been very happy with my Chase VISA Freedom card. I earn 1% bonus points (=1 cent/dollar) on every purchase (unlike Discover where you have to charge $3,000 or so before you begin earning the full 1%). Similar to Discover, the Chase card offers 5% bonus points for three-month periods - in different categories. Jan-Feb 2011 it's for grocery & drugstore purchases; April-May for home improvement & home furnishings; July-Sept. gas, hotels, airlines; and Oct.-Dec. dining, movies, department stores & charities.

I believe they currently have a couple of bonus cash offers. If you have good credit, you can get one that pays you $100 after your first use of the card. You can redeem your bonus points for a variety of gift cards (starting at 2,500 points for a $25 card) or hold out till you have 5,000 points and get $50 cash. Also, there is no annual fee on Chase Freedom VISA cards.

Hope this helps.

I am really happy with the Chase Freedom Visa. I have been earning the 5% bonus on groceries since October (they are running it for 2 consecutive quarters). The Chase Freedom limit on this 5% bonus is $1500; when Discover runs a grocery bonus the limit is usually $200. I like that I can cash out my Freedom rewards for gift cards or a check. I cashed out last week for $50 and that check will go right into my Disney vacation fund.

If I'm not getting a bonus for a specific purchase I use my Disney Visa.

We have the American Express Costco card and love it. Just got our great rebate :)

I have both the Costco AMEX and Chase Freedom and like them both when used at the higher point categories - restaurants 3% and travel 2% on Costco AMEX, 5% revolving categories as mentioned above on Chase Freedom.

Consider checking out the AMEX Blue Sky which gives you effectively a 1.3X points on all purchases - however only good for redemption for travel related purchases in $100 (7500pts) redemption amounts, with no other restrictions (carriers, dates, etc.). No annual fee. I haven't gotten it yet but I'm eyeing it.

IF you know you'll spend $6500 in short order, the AMEX Blue Cash is great since then you can earn 5% on groceries/gas/drugstores. But before you reach the $6500 level the reward points are rather sad. So if it takes months to reach that, it's not a great reward card. It has no annual fee.
