Just wondering...I have read nothing but lousy reviews here, online and at other various services. Has anyone had the chance of getting a remodeled room as of yet???

We're after you! We go Nov 29- Dec 3 and then off to the GF. I'm a little worried about all the negative reports lately, although they all seem to be Garden Wing Rooms. We've booked the Tower, so I'd especially love to hear a report on that!

the south wing (where they are remodeling rooms) is not supposed to open at earliest in October so no one will be in a new room before that. That one room that was shown was the "model" per say - like in a new home community.

ahhh I couldn't pass up the free dining!!! I have read mostly positives on tower rooms, however we are in the garden wing water view...maybe I'll get a free upgrade being our anniversary???? Otherwise I am sure we will just be thrilled to be in WDW no matter what!! I really enjoy the size of the rooms and the proximity to MK...AND the dining choices. I am sure you have read to ask for a MK view room above the 9th floor for the best view...

Yes, it's a wild ride having triplets. I never imagined my life could be so blessed! It's been hard at time (can't deny that), but it's also been the most wonderful adventure of my life! I am in awe of them everyday. Is your DH identical? Are they close? My trio are VERY close and protective of each other.

YES they are even though his brother is not as tan and about 50 pounds heavier!!! My dh is the youngest, the rebel, the evil twin :bitelip: so to speak...he said they were so close that in 1st grade the teachers made them go to different classrooms because his older brother did so many things for him he couldn't even zip his own coat or tie his shoes and they had to send them both home for the next 5 days because all they did was cry because they couldn't stand to be apart :guilty: isn't that sad??? Makes me cry a little thinking about it...anyway they are very close and protective but the oldest has always been the more level headed one keeping my dh out of trouble!! :rotfl: they have a sister who felt like they got all the attention because they were twins, she has had some emotional problems with that (yeah even at 40) I can understand though, I am sure it would be lonely having twin brothers and there you are the one and only single and a girl!! She said they got everything and everyone always gawked over them...and she felt left out...sorry more than you needed to know... :rolleyes1

I can understand how she'd feel. If I had any other children besides my trio, I'm sure they'd feel weird. The kids all look a ton alike, so even dressed differently they are always identified as triplets. I have 2 boys and a girl, and it's a blast!

I love CR. We stayed in the North Wing, garden view on the ground level with a patio. The upper levels don't have balconies, so the ground level is the way to go. The room was HUGE and very nice (non-renovated, but that's fine by me). The color scheme wasn't as bright as I thought it was going to be, though it was colorful and a little outdated. We loved walking to MK and having the monorail so close. The pool isn't as nice as some other deluxes, but it did the trick. They also have a hot tub and a little fountain play area that my kids liked.

If you do a search you can find my complete review of the CR tower, but here is a brief synopsis:

1. Feels like a "big city hotel" rather than a Disney resort.
2. Rooms need to be refurbished.
3. Can't beat the location...to walk home from the MK instead of waiting for a bus is terrific.
4. Concourse area is very exciting. We were on the floor above Chef Mickeys and could peek down and see the characters.
5. Food is decent at Food and Fun Center. Atmosphere is sterile.
6. Pool and beach are very nice. Two hot tubs. The slide is fun.

Well I don't have triplets but I did stay at the CR last month :earboy2:

We had booked a standard view wing room and had a lake view so I think we were upgraded which was nice. The room was clean and well maintained. The cable tv wasn't working when we checked in but someone was there right away to fix it after I called. We didn't get maid service until late afternoon the 1st day and we have a toddler who needs the room to nap so I was told to call housekeeping and request the room be cleaned by a certain time. That worked like a charm so I suggest doing that. Frankly that is the 1st time I have EVER gotten my room cleaned before 4pm (and sometimes they never cleaned it at all!!!) when I stayed at other WDW resorts (AKL and POFQ).

Our room was very comfortable and large. I really liked the big table in front of the sofa. The pool isn't as heavily themed as some but the kids loved it (ages 3 and 7). I wasn't overly impressed with the food court at AKL on our last trip and I thought the FFC was as good. The BIG BIG difference is that at AKL you are stuck - I felt like it was easier to have some other dining options at the CR if you didn't want the CR restaurants. And you absolutely cannot beat walking to the MK - you are right there!

We also had a very good AP rate on the room. If was paying $500 a night for it not sure I'd be happy with any standard room on the disney property - LOL! Don't worry so much and if you are truly unhappy with your room you can always request to be moved. :goodvibes
