Any good rental car deals for January?

We weren't going to do a rental car, so I have no reservation!

I usually snag the great deals about 9 months out---way too late for that now.

I haven't seen any terrific deals on Mousesavers yet. Anyone have a great code they are able to share?

Not quite the great rates I was hoping for yet. Maybe we will go carless this time after all. Or maybe a great last minute special will pop up. I can dream.

At least my Southwest airfare just dropped today with their special sale. I absolutely love the easy way you can take advantage of Southwest price drops!!!! We've got $70 in credits now!!!

We wanted to use Magical Express to and from the airport for my electric scooter, it's just easier, but like having a car on site.

With Priceline, can you limit it to just on-site locations like the Car Care Center and the Downtown Disney area?

Consider booking your southwest trips on line instead of over the phone. That way you don't have to "get through" to a person, but can make the adjustments yourself on your computer. It's really easy!

Another tip, if you're not already, you might want to consider booking future trips as two "one way" trips instead of as one round trip. That way if one flight goes down in price but the other flight goes up (which can happen), you can just change the part that goes down. With a round trip you have to change the whole thing.

I just rebooked my Alamo rentals for jan and had my rate drop about 75.00. I also used coupon from costco the ones online go thru end of 2010.

I got the deal I was looking for: $304 per week (Jan 15 to 22) total (all fees, taxes included) on a mini van at MCO through Alamo by bidding $30 per day on Priceline!

Still waiting for a good coupon to use that is good in 2010. Entertainment ones are the only ones I've seen for National, but didn't want to buy the book, so I'm still looking. I've gotten an OK reservation using the 5007160 code for National, but the coupon would help more.

If anyone is staying in at any of the Epcot resorts, it's worth checking Alamo at the Dolphin. My price for a standard size SUV picking up at MCO vs. waiting a day (and riding DME) and picking up at Dolphin was a $250 difference! Even punching in the exact same dates/times, the Dolphin comes up cheaper.

Hey everyone........just checked my National ressie for 1/1 thru 1/8.....price is down $57.......original ressie for full size .....out the door cost $281 and a little change. Today it's down to $224 and a little change...........just changed it. We're EA members, plus DH is adjunct faculty at Penn State, so we have Big Ten code and I also stacked a coupon from Entertainment for a free day on at least a 5 day rental. It's a good day all around........just checked our AirTran ressie........that's down too........only by $17 a ticket, but, X5 is $85 credit for the next trip!!!
