We luv good Mexican food..... are there any good places near SSR or DTD??? I know there is a Chevy's but that is a chain. We enjoy several authentic Mexican places here....and of course we do enjoy Chevy's but it is more of a Tex Mex to us.

It is not real close to SSR or Downtown Disney, but not too far either. There is a great, very authentic Mexican Restaurant on 192 in Kissimmee that many cast members of Celebration residents have discovered. Here is a link to their site. http://www.eltenampamexican.com/

It is not very big and is eary to overlook from the outside because it is right next to a Mexican grocery and and Indian diner, but it gets rave reviews from everyone who has tried it.

There is a coupon on their website too.

Just in case you wanted to stay on property, Paradiso 37 is open at Downtown Disney at Pleasure Island. I had lunch there a few weeks ago and not too bad.

This post made me laugh. I'm a native Texan, and it'd be hard for me to believe you could get any good TexMex in Orlando. However, next trip, I may just have to try some of the places suggested. I was just there for 11 days in June, and went through major TexMex withdrawal.

OP - Please post reviews if you do try any of the TexMex. :)

I am not looking for TEX MEX really...... we like authentic Mexican. We have several Authentic Mexican places around here that is why I asked about the Orlando areas. To me there is a big difference in Mexican and TexMex.

Head's up. This restaurant is on restaurant.com. And right now - until the 12th I believe - if you plug in FUN in the promo box you can get a $25 voucher for $3. Or a $10 voucher for less than a dollar.

Either use its zip code. Or narrow down the area and refine under "cuisine" for Mexican.

Many WDW non-Disney restaurants on there as well. Most of the Swan/Dolphin (Shula's, BlueZoo, Garden Grove, Kimonos etc.) and a lot of DD hotel restaurants and House of Blues at DD. You can finc them by continuing to press refine over and over and then under city "Lake Buena Vista". Most of these will be $2 with the promo code for a $25 certificate. Some minimum of two entrees - but some you only have to spend $35 total.
