I hope this question has'nt been driven in the ground:confused:;); I'm new to this area of the board:goodvibes. Sorry if it has.:cutie: I heard a rumor that after BLT sells out that this may happen; just wondering if anyone can confirm this... this would make me one happy camper, and I would definitley be adding on to my contract!:rotfl:TIA for your input! April

I feel another resort on the Monorail line would sell well... especially since it's taken so long for DVC to have a Monorail resort. I think "Polynesian Villas" has a nice ring to it.

Yes!! I Like the sound of it too!:woohoo::yay: We jsut stayed there for the first time in Sept. and we LOVED it! All of the CM's were SUPER to us; very warm and inviting!:lovestruc Yes, It would really be great to have another DVC on the monorail!:cheer2: Thanks! April

no real news yet on any poly villas or GF villas.

people had the contemporary villas banner in their sig for a few years prior to BLT becoming a reality, so i'm doing my part to push for more monorail villas. :)

I wouldn't mind that one bit, but haven't heard anything about Poly villas even being considered. Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I've seen a lot more GF "wishes" around....

My friend is trading out her points for a stay at the Poly this month with her DH and 3 young kids. 80 points for Friday/Saturday .....she must've reeealllyy wanted to stay there pretty bad I guess. I mean, I love the rooms and atmosphere there too, but not enough to use two years worth of points to cram into a standard room. :confused3

Here's to hoping for some Polynesian villas some time in the future. :wizard:

For anyone at Disney who may be "listening" -- We would LOVE another monorail resort. Villas at the Poly or GF would certainly make THIS DVC member happy.

Don't expect any POLY Villas anytime soon. I won't comment on the other though. :rolleyes1

Poly would be a great addition to DVC if the powers that be were to choose to add it in. I still remember going there as a little King with my folks. When we do plan trips I like to plan some time to ride the monorail and walk through the resorts on the loop.

GF though is a place that holds no interest for myself or DW. Before we had ever walked through the place we had talked about wanting to maybe stay there for a night for a wedding anniversary down the road. We walked through the place a couple of years ago and while it is beautiful, there was an air pretentiousness and snootiness that permeated the place.

I know there are many people who like the place but it just would not work for us.

Agree Poly has a much nicer lay back atmosphere. I also noticed the snootiness of many of the people at GF.

I would gues that we'll see a GF addition before we see a Poly addition, just because of the availability of land.

My wish is an end to new construction and just maintain what they already have.

If I had to venture a guess, and I'm gonna do that now, I'd say that the Poly would be the last monorail resort to get a DVC. Which means GF before Poly, of course.

LOL, yeah, tell me about it.... we just became members over the weekend and I inquired about a 6 night stay at the Poly during the 2-3rd week of Dec. this year...... it was going to be 260 points!!:scared1::rotfl: LOL! Needless to say, we chose OKW (I switched us from SSR) for only 53 points for the week!!:woohoo::yay::rotfl2: Thanks! April

Wow! She should have rented - $700-800 would buy a lot of Poly! Note that the rooms at the Poly are pretty big. We stayed there in 96 with 5 adults and a baby and did pretty well. Not as nice as a 1br, but very liveable.

Not DVC yet, but we asked our guide about the Poly when we took our tour last month. He said he didn't know, but thought it would be unlikely because of a lack of space and the fact that it's so popular that Disney makes enough money on it already.
