So the scale at my gym is constantly off. I can weigh myself 5 times right in a row and get 5 significantly different weights each time. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good, preferrably inexpensive, scale? Thanks!!

I use my Wii Fit. If you have a Wii it's a fun way to weigh yourself and also is just fun to play. Although if it's just a scale you want, it's a bit expensive :). I have the same problem as you with our $5 Walmart scale.

health-o-meter traditional scales seems to run true among my patients

I'll definitely look into health-o-meter scales.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Wii :(

Since you are at a gym, try calibrating the scale. Or just do this to see what happens. Take a 5lb weight and see what the scale does. Then if it doesn't act right, I'd tell the management. They need to know that they have faulty equipment.

As for a scale, I'd go with a standard rotary dial one. You can calibrate them with weights at home easily. Digital ones can get off calibration and you can't calibrate them at home. Weight yourself on level flooring (no carpet) and on the first floor of your house.
