My husband & I volunteered to host our annual neighborhood adult halloween party. Someone came up with the idea of doing a theme of couple costumes so I went with that on the invitations. Now the party is in 3 days & I have no idea what we're going to be. All the costumes at the halloween stores seem to be made for 20 somethings looking to show off their cleavage. Would love to hear some great ideas that people have used in the past or are doing this year. Pictures would be even better! Thanks!

Dice...you can be Pair a Dice!
S'mores (one is graham cracker with marshmallow, one is graham cracker with chocolate)
King and Queen (could make "sandwich boards" out of posterboard and be King and Queen of Hearts...or you could go as a pair)
Zeus and Hera (TOGA!)
Cat and mouse
Peanut Butter and Jelly
The house and the wicked witch of the East
Wicked Witch of the West and a flying monkey
Shrek and Fiona
Mickey and Minnie
Tacky tourist couple
Romeo and Juliet

A couple of years ago - I saw a John and Kate (along with a stroller with 8 dolls)

If you need it quickly and on a budget, be bacon and eggs. Get a white tshirt and use either yellow felt or fabric paint to put a yolk on it, then a maroon shirt with pink squiggly lines like bacon. Easy, cheap, couple-y and easy to move in!

Christian Gray and Ana Steel. Lots of props available, but carry the book with you. It will be a good ice breaker!

My hubby and I usually dress up together. We've been...

Frankenstein & his Bride
A hunter and a deer
Darth Vadar & Princess Lea
The Hulk & Wolverine

This year we are being Jaws & Quint

I saw a couple dressed as the American Gothic painting once - they carried a large frame with them.
Bee keeper and bee is another cute idea that can be put together pretty quickly.

Years ago, she carried a canoe paddle, he wore a pair of hip waders - they were Roe v. Wade. Its a concept thing.

I love this! Haha

FH and I have been Jim and Pam from The Office (in their Halloween costumes). Not sure what we are doing yet this year, but I'm guessing something superhero based. Our puppy has his Marty McFly costume all ready, though :)

My husband and I were Red Riding Hood and the wolf dressed as grandma one year for MNSSHP (it was a huge hit!) and last year we were a pirate wench and he was Jack Sparrow.

Such great ideas!

My guy and I (before he got all stupid on me and refused to do anything more than a themed t-shirt) were thinking about going as a mad scientist and rat for the MNSSHP. One of us would be a mad scientist, with a simple white lab coat, some nerdy glasses and big ol' einstein hair. Another one of us ( << ahem, him >>) would dress up in a grey t-shirt and grey sweats, with rat ears & a tail.

But if someone else can use this idea, more power to them!

this is the list i began compiling for MNSSHP (we chose bee and beekeeper):
1. Flinstones spouses
2. Capitan Hook and Smee
3. Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom Villain
4. Mary Poppins and Bert
5. Mr. and Mrs. Potato head
6. Bride and Groom
7. Mario and Luigi
8. tweedle dee and tweedle dum
9. M&Ms: wear khaki shorts/pants and different colored t-shirts. Shoes matched tees, can paint old ones to match the shirts, and get white stick-on felt to make the "m" for front and back of each shirt.
10. wolf and Red riding hood
11. Frankenstein's Monster and Bride of Frankenstein
12. doctor and patient
13. Mr. Incredible/Mrs. Incredible: Buy a red T-shirt, Iron on transfer the Incredible logo, Wear black shorts, Buy an eye mask from the party store. Skip the tights, boots, gloves, etc.
14. football player and cheerleader (w/ girl as football player, guy as cheerleader)
15. pb & j
16. devil and angel
17. beekeeper and bee
18. bert and ernie
19. Bullfighter and Bull

cowboy & indian
daisy & donald
batwoman & batman
prisoner & police officer
jack & sally
hook & tinkerbell
peter pan & wendy
shrek & fiona
cinderella & prince charming

Both, wear black and white striped shirts with a french beret, paint your faces white with black stars over eyes (like KISS the rock group).
Voila! French Kiss.

Love, love, LOVE this idea! I may need to steal it for next year...

DH and I are Waldo (from Where's Waldo) and Carmen Sandiego...

i don't dress up, but about 25 years ago, I saw a couple that I thought was really funny and clever. They were both Hershey candy bars and the guy's costume said with nuts. It was really funny.

Me and my boyfriend are being Cindy Lou Who and the Grinch this year! Some of my other favorites were: tooth fairy and tooth and miss muffit and spider. :)

we are invited to a party this year and me, DH and my bff and her husband are deciding between the Flintstones and the Rubbles or the Skipper, Gilligan, ginger and Maryann. Prob gonna go with the gilligan's island concept since my friends husband is a big burly guy and my husband is smaller.. should be funny! :)
