Hi! We will be staying at Royal Pacific and not staying club level so we need a good breakfast. Any ideas? We will not have a car.:drinking1

there is one restuarant open for breakfast - it was very nice - service was not too prompt - you might just go to the parks and eat there.

At the Royal Pacific, the Islands Dining Room has a breakfast buffet. There's also the Orchid Court Lounge, also at the Royal Pacific, which serves bagels, donuts, and cereal.

Orchid court provides cereal & milk $2.50 and pastries range from $2 -$3 most big enough to share:jester:

At the Island Restaurant they provide a breakfast buffet, while on the expensive side ($17+ for adults) it was the best breakfast buffet we've had on this vacation. Everything was delicious, from the freshly squeezed orange juice to their excellent coffee and they provide every breakfast item you could think of, and they are kept in these wooden ovens that keep everything hot and fresh. They also have an omelet to-order bar (which they will also prepare you eggs anyway you like them). When we had this breakfast none of us (11 in our party) was hungry until 3:30pm that day, and then we just stopped for a quick burger and were fine until dinner at 8:30pm that day, and this group was big on eating! So the cost kind of works itself out because you can save on lunch. We'll be going again next year and we will be doing this again. I have to say that every restaurant in this hotel is expensive but the food was really good. We had a take out dinner from Jakes one night and everything we ordered was wonderful. HTH:teeth:

This is making my mouth water! I think breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day! What else did they have at Island restaurant ? Any other reviews of this place? Thanks! :hyper: :hyper:

That Island restaurant sounds nice. Do you think it would be good enough for Easter Sunday?

TIA,
Kelley

The Island restaurant is pretty good food and ambience:jester:

thanks for the 411 on the breakfast buffet. in the past i have done the kitchen at hard rock. also have had rolls and coffee at island of adventure and boy is it good there.

Have breakfast at Islands of Adventure with Spider-Man® and the Cat in the Hat each Thursday through Sunday from park opening to 10:30 a.m. at Confisco Grille.

After meeting the Marvel Super Heroes and Dr. Seuss Characters, experience high-flying excitement on the “The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man” ride.

The breakfast is $15.95 for Adults and $9.95 for children, plus tax and gratuity. Call 224-4012 for reservations.

Is it possible to eat at Confisco without park admission? Also is it a buffet or menu place? I didn't know there was character meals at Universal! Tell me more! lol Of course we will be eating at Tchop Chop and Emeril is quite the character!:jumping1: :jumping1:

If we got a 10:30 seating at Confisco for breakfast, would the characters still be there?

We are thinking about getting to the park, doing Spider-man ride (or at least getting Express Passes), then going over and meeting the Grinch and then doing breakfast. Is this conceivabel before 10:30.

The characters are there until 11:00 a.m. We just ate there yesterday and the kids loved it. Our original reservations were for 9:45, but we got going early and they were able to take us at 9:00. The food was okay, but the characters were great. The guy playing Spiderman was very friendly and spent a lot of time with my son and nephew.

They loved it.

We are planning on doing this next week. Can you tell me more info about it? Is it a buffet? I know my DS will LOVE it, he's a huge spidey fan. Any info would be great. Thanks

Am sure that the only apparent downside to character breakfast was that a few posted drinks where seperate and no free refills others have posted they paid for 1st drink then free refills so I think best thing to do is ask at time of booking so u know thats what I intend to do so I know also I know SW does a charcter breakfast as well if u are going there as well but the way I work it out u will be about $70 incl tax at the hotel for a buffet breakfast and its less at the park with AP discount (both my kids get get charged adults as they are 11 & 13 )
