Any Golfers out there?

Hi again guys

I'm right into the planiing stages now my from next years Orlando trip and new things keep poping into my head

We'll be staying at the Riverside and my brother wants to go at least once if not twice golfing , something we've never done before. It's not for me , i'll probably just hang out in the resort for the day but does anyone know how easy it is to play on the Disney Courses?

We dont drive so i suppose a cab to the nearest course would be the way to do it. Anyone have any course recomendations for an amateur (he does have a 12 handicap) golfer and can you just walk up on the day? He hopes the concierge in the hotel might be able to prebook tee times for him but not sure if this is easy to do.?

Any thoughts as usual muchly appreciated.

Booking Golf is real easy for the Disney courses. You can do it online before you go or call direct from your room when you arrive. You could check for availability on the day you want, but times ain't guarenteed. If you play at Disney course they will provide a taxi both ways to and from the course. If your brother is happy to play in the afternoon, he will be able to get good prices also. Paying full price green fees at Disney can be expensive.

Plenty of good courses in the area, I like Osprey Ridge and Magnolia at Disney. My personal favourite is Panther Lake at Orange County National. Other ones i've enjoyed are Crooked Cat at Orange County National, Celebration, Falcon's Fire and Champions Gate. These are all pretty close to Disney and would not cost too much in a cab.

I can't wait to play when we go on Friday, got three times booked at the moment.
