My soon to be 4yr old dd LOVES being a pirate and searching for treasure. She loved Pirates of the Carribean this time and besides, Jasmine - all the princesses fell off her fav list this past trip. If she keeps this pirate thing up (which I think is a riot - she has the best argh!! ever) I am thinking of putting her on this cruise our next time.

Has anyone gone - are there other girls at all? I probably won't care either way, she is on an all boy soccer team - just curious though.

Thanks

Girls go on it all the time. She will not be alone. My DD 7 was going to do it last year but Hurricane Jeanne had other plans for us that day.

There were more girls than boys when my DS did it in Jan 04! So cute about her "argh", if she keeps it up that will come in handy during their adventure! :)

Both my dds and ds did it last July. They liked it so much they are scheduled to do it again this summer. Make sure you make a PS it fills up fast!

My DD did it when she was 6 with my DS when he was 10. She liked it better than my DS. :)

There were lots of girls when DS did it in March. Unfortunately, there was a threat of rain...so they did not do the boats and, instead, did treasure hunt around the lobby and lower floors of the GF.

If DD likes pirates, you might want to also check into the Family Magic Tour. Its kind of a scavenger hunt / adventure around the MK involving the Peter Pan theme (or, at least that was the case when we went on it) for a group of about 15 to 20 people led by one of the MK guides. There is plenty of character interaction in the latter part of the tour. There will be lots of threads on the FMT if you do a search. Caution: the posts / reviews will generally contain "spoilers" that could ruin some of the surprises.

We love the Family Magic Tour! We can't wait to do it again on our next trip. The character interaction on the Family Magic Tour is some of the best on Disney property. The Pirate Cruise is definately not just for boys and the Grand Adventures in Cooking is definately not just for girls. Disney has done a great job with all of their kids programs. The Wonderland Tea Party is not just for girls either, the Mad Hatter is the co-host and he is "gross" enough for both boys and girls. My dd's and other family members' children love all the special activities for the kids. I wish they had some the "big" kids could do!

I've got my youngest DD (6) signed up to do the Pirate Adventure on our trip in June. She LOVES pirates and is so excited to do it. I just hope there is no rain to mess it up! We did a pirate theme for her 6th birthday - it was probably the funnest party we've ever done!

Our DD (8) loved the Pirate Cruise at GF. She also liked the fact she was supervising DS (4). There were lots of girls of all ages.
