Any Ghost/Paranormal Experts out there???

I seem to remember a story here in the UK about a very active poltergeist that slammed an entire sofa into the ceiling - whilst two policemen were sat in it! They were in the house in response to loud, violent sounding behaviour in the household that residents blamed on - you guessed - ghosts :eek:

OP, I sent you a PM, but also wanted to make a more general post on your thread.

I have worked with paranormal groups in the past and looked at my fair share of "paranormal" pictures. 99+% of the time, orbs are junk. Pure and simple. I have seen orbs that ended up being dust, moisture, bugs, stuff on the lens, ect ect. The VAST majority of orbs can be explained normally. In the past 5ish years I have maybe seen 3 or so orb pictures that made me take a second look. And even then, I would need other evidence to really consider that picture anything.

Orbs are truly the laughing stock of the paranormal investigators world.

For an orb to be considered a true orb it must admit its own light.

Just about every photograph of "orbs" I've seen ends up being just dust.

True orbs are a collection of energy, not necessarily spirits.

You mean men are like this even after they die? :scared1:

You wouldn't happen to have a teenaged daughter in the house, would you? ;)

As a matter of fact, I do! And it just so happens that she was the one who concluded that it was a ghost who was stealing my makeup. She's a genius I tell ya! That girl is one gifted snowflake! ;)

We have a ghost in our house. She keeps taking my make-up. Well, at least I think it's a she - I suppose it could be a transvestite. Is there such a thing as a transvestite ghost? Anyway, I had to go to Sephora yesterday and buy another UD Primer Potion because the darn ghost once again went rifling through my makeup drawer and took my primer potion back to the 4th dimension or wherever it is that ghosts keep their stolen goods. This is really starting to get annoying.

We have had similar paranormal experiences. Baked good disappear during the night. Our ghost likes pre-baked cookies, but it really has a thing for homemade cookies and cupcakes. On a not at all related note, dh has gained about 30 lbs. since we moved in together...:rotfl2:

I have a number of paranormal pics, but they're too spooky to post on the DIS...

Rich::

Post them! As long as you don't mind me trying to debunk :rotfl: . I can't help it... it's like second nature to try and debunk photos anymore!

I'm pretty sure they're faked... still, they're quite spooky! Just need to get to 10 posts so I can post the pictures...

If nothing else, even if they are faked or can be explained with normal means, it would be cool to show how these things can be done. Motion Blur, "Orbs", reflections, matrixing, ect can all make for some spooky photos that can easily be explained.

BTW NEVER EVER EVER take pictures with your phones if you want to try and get evidence. These will get tossed out in a heart beat due to the large number of apps that can add "ghosts" into the pics. It's gotten so bad that most people will simply not even look at pictures from phones anymore. That, and they are horrible quality.

OK, here we go...
