I saw it yesterday. I'm a fan by association, my Dh has been listening to him for 27 years, I just started listening to Prairie Home 8 years ago. I liked the movie, it was entertaining, one of those movies that you aren't prepared for the end because it seems like no time has past. I'd reccommend it. My husband adored it.
Very cool... SSB plans to see it this week! Have been listening for many years... and SO wish that I had gone to see live this summer, when on the road.
My husband is a fan and wants to see this movie. We are behind in our movie-going, though, and busy on our upcoming weekends. We may have to put this one on hold until it comes out on DVD.

Major Prairie Home Companion fan here. So far no theaters near here (small town) are showing the movie. I'm going to have to drive but what the heck. I'll get to see Dusty and Lefty, Guy Noir and all the gang! I can't wait!
We love Garrison Keillor! He even has a column in the Sunday Minneapolis newspaper that we read too!
Our DSs especially love Guy Noir and when I get fired up about something they remind me that I need some "ketchup with natural mellowing agents"! Believe it or not, this movie didn't open up in our town despite its proximity to Lake Woebegon. As soon as it gets here we'll go see it.
Around here on the DIS, where all the kids are above average, I'm guessing there are a lot of fans. We're going to see it. What fun! We also LOVE Altman!
DH is not a movie-going guy--he prefers to watch movies on dvd. So, imagine my shock when he saw the preview and asked if we could go see it in the theatre!
I didn't want him to lose steam on the idea so I hustled him off to see it on Saturday. We both loved it! All the actors did a great job. I highly recommend it. My only regret was that there was no Lake Wobegone story in the movie.
Huge fan, want to see the flick....
Sat next to him at a Lutheran Church one Easter Sunday in NYC....loved listening to him sing! And did anyone hear him last sunday when he was in Austin, TX? His guest was Molly Ivins, and she told the funniest chicken story...
We saw it also. Both my DH and I really enjoyed it! We've been listening to the show for years. Kevin Kline was great as a bumbling Guy Noir! We attended a live performance a couple of years back in Ocean Grove, NJ. when he was at the Great Auditorium. It was the perfect venue for the show. The show will be coming to the Kimmel Center in Philly this year. Don't know if we'll be able to attend since the timing may interfere with our WDW vacation. Life is full of tough choices.
