I remember there being a thread of folks passing along the AAA parking hangers last year and I'm wondering if anyone has 06s to start the passing along?

We ARE AAA members, but the other side of the world practically (WA state)...we are looking for TWO parking hangers for beginning of April (two cars). We'd be happy to pass them on to the next person.

TIA
C

If you do get them, I would love to have one of them when you are finished. We will be there most of April.

There is a tag from AAA that you put in your car window to show you are a AAA member and it gets you much closer parking (theres designated spots in each lot usually right near the handicapped parking). We had one the last time we went down when our AAA still had them and it was WONDERFUL with an infant in tow.

If anyone needs a tag before us, I would be happy to just have you get it first and pass it along to us and we will pass it along to the next person (Susan)....keep the circle going.
THANKS
Chris

I was just at WDW in October. Parking in the AAA lot is really not an advantage. In fact, at the MK I was further away from the TTC than what I would have been if I parked in the normal lot, which I did the next day. However, I don't know about the other parks. After that I decided just to park in the regular lots.

Just a word of caution, we went last October and booked thru AAA and had the pass...but you know it is only if you are staying in a resort on site, right? Quite a few times the parking attendant would ask to see our resort parking pass that was in our windshield. Don't think I'd use the AAA pass if I wasn't staying onsite..but totally up to you.

Can you get them from AAA?

We loved the AAA parking at MGM & Epcot, right up front, MK & AK we rode the busses. I thought(?) you could only get the passes from AAA if you either, booked a package or room only thru them.

belleandthebeast then why would they ask to see our resort pass in the parking lots?

I have no idea. But that's really bizarre. I've never heard of them asking for resort id before. Maybe it's something new. When were you there that they asked for id? Was it recently?

I don't know why they would ask unless you mean the attendant where you pay (or if the attendants are misinformed). The AAA pass doesn't get you free parking if you stay offsite, just a little closer. I bought my tickets for AAA for my May 2004 trip, and they gave me a pass. We stayed offsite and were able to use it no problem.

I will say that I was told on the phone at AAA that the passes are usually only for people who buy packages, and those people would be staying onsite. However, when I got my tickets at the local office, they hgave me the pass w/o me asking for it. When I told them that I was told they were only for package people, they said that was not so, and if they ahve any extras at the time, they give them out w/ ticket only purchases. I would assume this is stictly up to each individual office, not a AAA-wide policy.

I would love to get to "borrow" we will be going march 25-april 1 and would be happy to pass along or return!

Yeah, I used to work for AAA (great company to work for by the way) and we gave them out when people bought the tickets from us. We were told to give out one pass per adult ticket sold.

But- they passes aren't serialized or really accounted for- they would just send us a stack of them whenever I requested them. And sometimes a person would buy adult tickets but say they wouldn't have a car so they didn't need the pass, or they had like 6 adults but only one car so they only wanted one pass. So we would have extras. If a person was nice, I wouldn't mind giving them a pass if say they bought there tickets somewhere else and didn't know we had parking passes.

So do you think if I just call my local AAA and beg they might give me one anyway?
THANKS
Chris

Our AAA just hands them out if you ask. No need to buy tickets or a package
