We're heading down next week and are wondering if anyone has eaten at Coral Reef in Epcot. Lunch, dinner, whatever?Heard it may be pricey. WQhat do you guys think?
How about any other recommendations for dining. My DD's will be crushed since we didn't get any Princess meals. Want to make it up with some other nice meals.
Thanks-Steve

We haven't eaten here in about 3 years. When we went for lunch, we thought it was pricey but something worth doing -- once. The aquarium is amazing but for the price the food just wasn't worth it. You might want to check out the menu on allearsnet.com. There are lots of fabulous places to eat at Epcot and I wouldn't rank this near the top.

I would have to agree with the previous poster. Good to do once but in no hurry to get back there again.

The aquarium was really neat and that was a lot of fun but the food was pricey.

It was a double ick for me because I can't eat seafood, it makes my tummy not very happy but hubby loves it and doesn't eat it all that much so we went.

I ordered of the kids menu, some chicken with greenbeans and that was $8.

It was fun, but no hurry to get back there right away.

We ate there three years ago as well but we loved it. It was a little pricey, but I made it our Sunday dinner. It was worth the money to me. The food was excellent, service and amosphere all really good. The kids enjoyed it too. ::yes::

We have eaten there several times and really enjoy it. The food is excellent, a little pricey, but worth it. The atmosphere is very cool. If you're lucky you can get a tabe right next to the aquarium. That was fun. We made friends with all the fish!

We used to eat there on every trip because the kids enjoy the equarium. But we just felt the quality of the food didn't live up to the price. So now we eat at the Garden Grill where the kids get to eat with Mickey and we spend extra time in the Living Seas for the "fish time".

Great food if you love sea food.... I always get the mahi mahi with wasabi potatoes. There isn't much in the way of beef or chicken that I remember. The aquarium is awesome as well. It tends to run on the cool side indoors.

We love it too and I also think it is a bit pricey, that said, I think the atmosphere makes up for the extra$$. We only go for lunch though - and, its a nice, relaxing break in the middle of the afternoon. Kids seem to love it - mine is 13 now but has been going since age 4 and still asks that we return.

We were there in May and I have to agree it is very good. We had eaten there a couple of years ago and when we left I wasn't happy about the place.
So we have not gone back. Well in May I said to my DH lets give it a try again and we were very happy with everything. When I come back and think about the other time I was not happy it was not the rest. or food, it was the group of people that were with us. Just complaining about everything that was not necessary and I was just happy to get out and away from them.

Yes it is a little pricey, but we are on vacation and tend to splurge when we are there.

I was a little disappointed with this place. Found the food to be on the pricey side and not the greatest. I think if I was to go back, it would be for dessert.

We used to dine there all the time for lunch. I highly recommend asking to sit up near the tank b/c well we always did and we sat up near the tank about 75% of the time when we ate there. I LOVE their dessert and the atmosphere is great. I agree it's a bit more pricey, but youre on vacation and the kids will be very involved in watching the fish, so you might actually get to enjoy one peaceful meal. You just have to figure out how much your sanity is worth....

We thought the food was pretty good but pricy. (I see the word pricy popping up in a lot of repsonses!)

We didn't wait for a seat by the aquarium and I think that was a mistake.

We had a chocolate volcano cake that was TO DIE FOR! Honestly, it was soooo good that I raved to the waiter about it. And when the waiter brought the bill, he also gave us a copy of the recipe!
:D

The funny thing is that I read these boards and so I did know, in the back of my mind, that Disney gave out recipes, but when the waiter brought it without being asked, I felt like I had just be handed some Disney magic!

The food is pricey, but what do I expect when I order the Lobster!
So, we eat there for lunch to save some $. We were just there in August and again were not dissappointed!! Our kids especially love the view and those silly glowing ice cubes!!
