Any favorite servers to request?

I saw that Joel and Sylvester were 2 servers to request...are there any others that are exceptionally good? How do you go about requesting servers? Are there any to shy away from?

Den & Prudence were AWESOME. Just let your TA know which servers you would like. DCL will try to met your request.

We told DU to mark our 2/04 reservation with a server request. Katarina from Croatia had served us on our first Wonder cruise in 12/01, and we wanted to see her again. We didn't figure she would remember us, but it would be fun all the same.

Anyway, I believe DCL was trying to accomodate us. Upon arrival, we went to see if we had been assigned to Katarina. They had indeed noted our reservation, but sadly Katarina had just left for Croatia the week before.

When we arrived at our table that night, we were greeted by Richard from Chile, who also knew we had requested Katarina. He claimed to be Katarina's husband crazy: ) and went on to attend to our every need. Richard and Asst. Server Levi were great.

Aleksander from Croatia on our November 2002 cruise was awesome! I believe that Gwendolyn from Trinidad, his assistant, has now moved on as a head server.

We had Roberto from Peru as our server, and Prudence from Jamaica as our asst. server last August, they both took "EXCELLENT" care of my family!!!

Orlan from the Phillipines and Elvira from Jamaica on the Magic were both great. They took care of our every need and learned what we liked from the beginning. Would love to have them again.

Gemma from England was wonderful! (Her parents are also on the boards here) We really enjoyed her.

On our ist cruise we had Alex from the Phillipines. HE was great, and still remembers my DS from serving us 2 years ago (or he fakes it real well, which is just as good)

We just got back from the 5/22 western & had Glendene & Janelle. They were both totally awesome, very personable, and very easy to be with.

We had Dean from Croatia on our recent Eastern Magic and he was wonderful! Also, we had a lot of fun with Marc and AnnMarie (both from South Africa) in Palo.

On the Magic last September we had Alex as our server and Dante as our assistant server. They're both from the Phillipines and were excellent. Alex was great with main course suggestions and letting us try most of the desserts! Dante never once forgot our drink orders and both made dining a real pleasure. We still laugh at their 'magic' tricks even now.

You can put in a request thru your TA, but there is no assurance you'll get it. We always go to "dining changes" in Sessions after we board and make sure we got our request. If not, we re-state the request...and are usually able to be moved to "our" server. After 10 cruises, we know who we want!

We had Cyprian from India and Arelli from Chili. They were excellent! I have twin DDs and they took special care the first night to be able to tell them apart and they did. They NEVER called them by the wrong name the whole cruise. Sounds minor, I know, but to twins, it's major. They went out of their way to make everything perfect for us.

Gemma is so good she's moved up to Palo and handles reservations there. When we first saw her I told her that her folks said hi and the look on her face was priceless. Enjoyed visiting with her since I had corresponded with her mum.

Beckie in Palo is also fantastic and we really enjoyed Subhash and Constantin as our server and assistant server.

We had Gemma on our cruise last October. She is such a sweet girl. I'm glad to hear things are going well at DCL for her!
