I was just wondering if anybody knew of any Disneyland Resort package specials? I wanted to take a small weekend trip down to the happiest place on earth in November. Are there any great deals out there?

If you don't mind staying offsite, you'll probably get a great rate through Priceline or Hotwire. Priceline seems to have the best geography around Disneyland. Hotels (and car rentals) are really out to make deals right now. I believe the Westcoast Anaheim and the Marriott come up frequently on Priceline as 3*. Search these boards for specific prices - I only recall hearing good things about 3*'s.

We have an early AM flight out of Seattle on 10/15 so we decided to book a room at the airport to get a little extra sleep. We ended up with the Doubletree Seatac for $25 through Hotwire.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys! If anyone else hears of anything else, please feel free to let us know!

You should probably avoid 11/11 to 13. There's some kind of convention going on, and all the Disneyland Hotels were booked for the 13th, although they had rooms available on the 14th.

The trouble with Priceline is you have to be flexible with your dates. If you have a set weekend in mind, and then bid too low, it won't let you bid again for those dates unless you expand your radius. Also once you're booked, that's it - you can't cancel if you find a better rate. And if you've got kids, there's no guarantee you'll get two beds.

That sucks! What convention is going on at that time? We're suppose to be going for my birthday which is on the 11th, so I wanted to say there from the 8th or 9th till the 11th.

I'm not sure what convention is going on. My wife made the reservations and didn't ask. The 8th to 11th might be fine. Some conventions start on Saturday or Sunday and finish Tuesday.

Here's a link to the Convention Center calendar. You may be OK getting out of there on the 11th.

I'm seeing a 4* on Hotwire for a nightly rate of $65 for your stay. Ratings are generally pretty compatible between Hotwire and Priceline. This may give you some reasonable bidding parameters. If the Marriott, Hilton, and Westcoast Anaheim are 3*, I can't imagine what a 4* might be (could this be on-property?).

On Hotwire, you specify your dates and geography (Disneyland is a category under Los Angeles). Then it brings up the an option for each * category available. You don't make a commitment until you find the price and * combination you want. You have one-hour to approve your quote. You can retry after 24-hours.

Be sure to check the maps as Priceline and Hotwire are a bit different. You could probably expect that each hotel within the Disneyland area will have some sort of shuttle service. The ones that pop-up most often are within walking distance.

If you try Hotwire, let us know.

P.S. here's a link to their major hotel partners. At 3 or 4*, you should be in good company.

Cool, thanks! Do you know or heard of anyone ever getting a room at a Disney resort through Hotwire or Priceline? So you don't find out till after where the room is. Oh, I have one other question, as far as tickets go for the parks, when you purchase your room through a service like this, can one still get the Disney package specials with things like early admission?

Thanks a bunch!

I haven't seen any comments as far as Disney Resort Hotels coming up with either Priceline or Hotwire. The only comment I've seen for 4* in the Disney area is the Anaheim Hilton and Towers. This property is located at the Convention Center and is technically walking distance to the Resort. There is a free shuttle.

No additional packages would be available. No early entry (which may only help you on Saturday). Right now, you can get an addtional free day on 3 or 4-day Park Hoppers at disneyland.com.
