Was wondering if people here actually book their disney trip through dreams unlimited and how the experience was? I used our local TA last trip and liked using a travel agent, just not sure I want to go back to that one? I was thinking of doing it myself but am just not sure.

Thanks in advance! :wizard:

We've done 46 trips so far and never used a TA....but I do occasionally check the difference in price using one, like Dreams Unlimited.....they send me my quote and I compare it to what I already have gotten from called Disney's CRO....it usually is the same price....nothing extra thru a TA and I don't want to deal with TA's and emails...rather "own" the reservation myself and it's an easy call to Disney for any changes and discounts...

We don't have alot of questions, book room only, no packages and never bother with dining plans or ADR's (but those can easily be made via Disney's dining web site.....really see no need for a TA for our vacation but like I said, I do price checks now and then and direct dealing with Disney has always been the better deal.....to each their own.....

Before we bought into dvc we used dreams unlimited and I can't say enough great things about them. They were wonderful as opposed to the aaa travel agent we used our first time. I would def recommend dreams unlimited.

I used Dreams Unlimited for our trip in October and I would not recommend them.

The price is the same if you just book with Disney.

The benefit you get is if Disney announces a promotion like free dining, they rebook you automatically, however like another poser said you don't "own" the reservation so it's next to impossible to make changes on the fly.

They only communicate though email, even after you've booked. NO PHONE NUMBER! We were on our last day and our flight was cancelled due to bad weather back home. I couldn't call and extend our room and tickets for a night, but rather had to make a whole new reservation with Disney.

I'd never use them again.

I have used them for every trip and love them! The prices are the same. The advantages are they do everything, all ADRs, reservations for any and all activities. You e mail them and let them know what you need done and it is done. No sitting on the phone with Disney for hours. Also if the rates go down or free dining shows up your agent will contact you and adjust the rates ect! Love them!

We used them in December of 2010. I liked dealing with them. We had a room only reservation. They did all of our dinner reservations for us. They also did get an extra discount applied before I even knew about it.

If you want to use a TA, I wouldn't hesitate using them.

I've used them twice. Once they were fine but the other time not so much. Now I just do it myself. It's easy and I like being in control.

We used them quite a few times before becoming DVC members and loved the experience. I would recommend them to anyone (and have often).
