Okay, I have been unsuccessful in booking an Illuminations Cruise, but has anyone done the WISHES cruise and if so, is it worth it. I love the WISHES program, but just not sure how it is from the boat. the CM said you parked at an island in front of the magic kingdom and it is a great place to see the fireworks.

If anyone has done this, I would appreciate your expertise.

Thanks,

Pam

we did it last year. Our friends were down at the same time and this was our chance to do something together.

We were picked up at the contemporary, cruised over by the wilderness resorts, where we sat and watched the EWP, then cruised by the Monorail resorts and dropped anchor right in front fo main street. It was a blast!

Can you hear the Wishes music and narration from the boat?

The CM told me that it was a great place to watch the fireworks from and that you could hear the music. Any others with firsthand experience?

I have not done the WISHES speciality cruise but did the fireworks before that and was VERY disappointed. I did however do a grand gathering in Feb for the WISHES Cruise and it was amazing. They piped in the music and all kinds of extras. I don't think the little boats have that ablility though. I would recommend finding friends on the board to make a party of 8 for the Grand Gathering.

I was on the Grand one yacht for Wishes about a month ago. You don't hear all of the narration, but you do hear the music floating over the water.

It's fabulous sitting out on the water and watching with an unobstructed view. The fireworks reflect off the water, truly magical. What you lose in sound you make up for in the visual show.

And you don't have to fight any crowds :)

We did the Grand One a year ago as well with the old MK fireworks, and that was lovely as well, but Wishes is truly incredible!

I've got the Grand booked for July 4th if anyone is interested in sharing. It's a two hour cruise, don't have the exact time yet as they haven't posted the times for the fireworks--nope not even the Grand one folks know yet! We'll probably leave about an hour before the fireworks begin to cruise around the lake for a bit, then settle in the perfect spot in front of the MK. The cost per person will depend on how many want to join.

Ann,

I sent you a PM, how many can fit on Grand 1.

Pam, they say maximum of 16, but we feel that 12-13 would be the max. I'll PM you back later today.
