Any experience with US election returns while at sea?

Thanks for any help.

I haven't been on a ship during a presidential election, but you'll get fox news and cnn on your tv.

Thanks, Ofinn. I don't think we will get those channels while at sea since we will be on an E. Caribbean. At least in the past, we did not. BBC at times but not always. Would love to get BBC coverage actually but not sure that will happen.

Internet would be your best bet. Sign up for the free 50mb, and then add on if you need to

On the Dream this past Feb. we got Fox News. So you should get some news or at least internet.

I can't remember ever being on a cruise and not getting CNN or Fox. The eastern is near many US territory's like Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. I would expect to have the major networks on Satellite. They always have the NFL games on the ships.

In November 2014, we sailed during the Florida elections and got all the results from the in room TV.
We had CNN and it was an Eastern route.

Sailed E. Caribbean back in January on the Fantasy and had CNN, Fox, and I think even MSNBC on our stateroom TV

The only times I could not access some of the news stations was in port. BBC will be covering the elections just as heavily as CNN or Fox.

ETA: Was on the Magic in April. I know we had BBC, MSNBC, and Fox. I can't remember if CNN was on or not. HTH

I was on during the soccer World Cup, and they announced scores shipwide. I believe one match was also shown on FunnelVision. There's also a small "news headlines" sheet they print each day & you can pick up at Guest Services. I'm sure it will be hard to avoid election results. :)

I did not know this. Thanks for the tip.

Hoping to win the Power Ball this Saturday so I can take nonstop WDW cruises, from ASAP through two weeks past election day. I really don't want to watch how nasty this is going to become leading up to the election and skip past all the post election babel. I'll just make sure I get my Absentee Ballot sent in and forget the rest of the campaign season.

I'll be in San Juan. I don't even want to see them. I'll just go rum tasting.

I really like MakiraMarlena's post :stir: Mixing up my favorite Rum drink as soon as I hit the 'Post Reply' icon!

Three years ago I sat on a beach in Cozumel that had free wi-fi and looked up election results for my hometown's mayor and city council races. I wasn't going to wait for the Disney Fantasy to broadcast the results over the PA system. :)
