Any experience with this townhouse in WH?

Does anyone have any experience with this townhouse in Windsor Hills. It is Mickey's Magical Escape owned by the Breymeiers. It is also listed on WH Best website which says that all homes listed on there have been checked out as far as being legitimate. Also, it is managed by Oasis.

We are seriously thinking of booking here and I would love some opinions.

Although there aren't a lot of houses on Windsor Hills Best website, yet, this is the website that the Windsor Hills Master Association is endorsing. I believe it says so on www.windsorhillsmaster.com.

The webmaster of that website does check each person out as legitimate owners, etc., and it is a very reliable site.

I've seen lately that many owners have gone with Oasis, they have a good many Windsor Hills properties on there, but no personal experience with them.

Another DISer who owns a couple of townhouses has Oasis as his Management company and says they're great.

Everything seems great..I'm just not sure about giving over my credit card and authorization to use for the security deposit. Has anyone ever done this? I know that we gave management companies our c.c. info when we checked in before, but never the individual owners.

They do have the option of giving them the $400 upfront..but obviously keeping that money in my pocket sounds better! Not sure what to do about this.

Actually, you are better off giving a credit card, as it offers you better protection, rather than cash.

Yes, I have given my credit card to rent condos, never had a problem. I prefer it that way.

The security deposit for owners who have their homes managed by Oasis is typically a credit card imprint that goes to the mgmt company only, not the owner.

I have been on the boards long enough...I'm pretty sure that I know who you are! I figured that the townhouse being managed by Oasis was a good thing. As far as the security deposit, the owner has a place to list all of my c.c. info on the rental agreement..then he wants me to mail or scan it back to him.

One more thing..is it also customary for the owner to ask for your drivers license number? I am only asking these things because I have never had to do them when I've rented before. Last time I paid my security deposit and payments by c.c. through paypal and wasn't asked for much info. Just want to feel good about my decision!

Well ignore all of my posts..we have decided to go ahead and stick with our original plans of an onsite(we got the PIN code)Oct. trip. since our son has soccer conditioning during the months of June and July. We were going to book the townhouse if we could have done a longer June trip. Oh well! I do think that townhouse will be an option for us if we stay at WH again!

I can tell you that if they are on the windsorhillsbest website, they have to go through a strict verification process in order to advertise there, including paid up fees to the Association. That is the only website that is the only owner website that is now endorsed by the Windsor Hills Master Association because of the strict process. This is mentioned on their site, www.windsorhillsmaster.com.
