Any experience microwaving eggs in a hotel room?

My girls are big 'pancake and egg' fans, for just about any meal! However, they are not early birds, so I don't see going somewhere before the park opens as an option, nor do I want to spend valuable morning hours eating somewhere in the park (not when the line to Peter Pan is short!). However, our room (at DI&S) will have a microwave and a fridge. Now, I know I can buy frozen pancakes or waffles and microwave for them, but does anybody have experience microwaving eggs? I think about this and picture these horrible almost green eggs that my MIL makes...just awful! My sister suggested frozen omelettes, but I don't think we'll have much room in the mini-fridge freezer. Anyone had success doing this?

I always cook eggs in the microwave in fact in our house they are called micro-eggs.
Here's the thing, you have to break the yolk or the microwave will do it for you:scared1:
They have to be slightly scrambled, then cook for short times say: 20secs at a time and stir each time you check on them. The more you cook at one time the better they turn out.
Sounds complicated but it isn't. If you want shredded cheese or cubed ham with them, just throw it in on top when you cook them.

I bet it would be easier and tastier to have someone run over to McDs for a big breakfast.

So, if I was cooking, say 2-4 eggs, what sort of container would i need to take to cook them in? Would a 2-cup glass measuring cup work?

We cook scrambled eggs the same way..the glass measuring cup will work but spray it with butter flavored cooking spray first or you will be scrubbing in the bathroom wasting park time!

Yes!! Right! :) Also, make sure you cover the top with paper towel so they eggs don't burst and jump out, splattering the top... even though I always stir and break the yolk, if it's not covered well it can still sort of explode.

English muffins, processed cheese slices, and for us, a microwaveable coffee cup work for one egg at a time, and makes the perfect shape for a sandwich.

No, but it can fry up very nicely on hot pavement. It really can! :)

You can buy microwave egg cookers. They do two at a time and have a lid.Just pierce the yolk.

I thought about that, but all of those I've seen are plastic, and I don't think it's safe to microwave in plastic...

We buy the pre-made breakfasts, eggs/sausage/bacon/hasbrowns. They run about .79-99 cents. As long as you follow the direction they are fast and easy.
As long as the plastic is microwave safe, the eggs will turn out fine as long as you do not over cook.

What can I say, C rations, K rations, MRE's, a life time of not the best food. Those little breakfasts get me the protien kick I need to get going and I do not have to take park time to get food. Just wish there were places in the Hotel or DTD that I can get at 0600.
