Any events going on the first week of May?

We are planning to visit DLR May 4-12. Has anyone heard of any event that could cause larger than normal crowds.

I know Grad Nites start in May but I'm gueesing it won't start until Thur May 15 at the earliest????

Are there any conventions that could effect the crowds?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. We were there in Sept of 2007 for 3 days on a trip to San Francisco. We are from GA and WDW is closer, but it isn't Disneyland. We are so ready to go it hurts. LOL.

Hey Baloo, we picked this same time of year to go because it shouldn't be bad. If you see park operating hours they are still minimized during the weekdays. Later in the month they start to open earlier and stay open later. Sooo, based on that and from what friends told me who went at similar times last year, it should be average. Not ultra quiet, but not spring break/summer busy. Woo hoo! Have fun. We'll be there from May 3-7.

There is a 'Dream Maker event at Disneyland on the 8th. I think it is from 9-1 am though.

Sorry I am VERY new to DL. What is the event? We will be going to DL on this day. Should I be worried about crowds or anything?

The first weekend in May is "food and wine weekend". I've been there for it the last couple of years (not there for it, just happened to be there that weekend) and it has not seemed to increase crowds much. It does add a little more interest to DCA, and some dinning options.

Well, you'll see me there! I had heard that the last half of April and First half of May were slower times, so that's why we chose them.

i went to the parks may 8/9 of last year .........it was awesome........the lines were minimum and you should enjoy it.

we happen to go when there was a heatwave and it was 98 degrees, but it was still awesome.
