any emergency personal,know where i can get good work boots from

hi all,
in the past i have used galls,but i'm not happy with there selection lately.I'm looking for boots, zippered with laces ,must be water proof,saftey toe.also slip resistaint or superior traction sloe.anyone know a good site besides galls.I'm looking to spend around 150 to 175.

For station boots, i got a pair of 8" Rangers (the structural ones) on clearance. They're great! The guy I work with has Chippewa logging boots, and swears they're the greatest.

I second Rocky Boots, but I'm not emergency personnel (DH is though, lol). We live close enough that DH goes up there to buy his and gets them from the outlet part.

Another vote here for Rocky Boots. As with bigbabyblues, I'm not in EMS, but DH is and that is what he wears. He did buy me a pair of Rocky Boots, they don't have the steel toe in them, BUT they do keep my feet warm and dry in the snow. I LOVE them.

Also, if you find a pair that is not the zipper/lace combination that you are looking for, you can buy zipper inserts. DH did just that and it worked just fine.

www.airgas.com. I get all DH's safety needs from there, they have great prices and fast shipping. They have quite a selection of boots.

I would recommend the Warington Pro's as well brother. Try Chief's supply, I'm not too sure of a web site for them so you may have to do a search.
