Philadelphia loves their PHILLIES !!!!!
Born and raised in Philadelphia, though I live in the burbs now. We'll be at the parade tommorrow as well !!!! They are expecting anywhere from 1-2 million people so I think it's going to be a little tough for us DVC'ers to find eachother !

I am an avid Eagles fan and season ticket holder and, despite my best efforts to avoid it (my football habit is expensive enough), my Phillies love has grown over the past 5 years so I was cheering with everyone else. We made a Modells stop today but the circus-like crowd drove me to the internet for World Series goodies.

Now, if my beloved Eagles would join the Phillies and Soul as champions...I don't think I could handle the excitement!!!!

I went to Modells this morning and loaded up on shirts, hats, hoodies, car magnets..... WOW.

I was attempting to get into the Modells last night at midnight (one in Montgomeryville/North Wales). It was a 2 hour wait...line out the door. So I high-tailed it over to Dicks Sporting Goods and it was only about a 45 min line. I was out of there by 1 am and the line was still going strong ! Drove by Modells today around 5 pm and FORGET IT ! People were waiting in line with their cars to get a parking spot so they could wait in line to get into Modells !

That's the location we were at that drove me to the internet. It was like Christmas!! They better move mini Billy Penn to the new building to keep that curse away!!

DH and youngest DS are on their way to the parade with some neighbors. Sadly I have to work I'm still sitting at my desk with my Utley jersey over my WDW Halloween T-shirt.....Yeah, the colors clash, but SO WHAT!!!

Maybe now my DH will replace his T-shirt from the 93 World Series........ He wore it every night we watched the games. I'll have to get him a new one and frame the old one......

I was able to get 2 tickets for the celebration for the Linc today. he's not using them, but some "enterprising" fans are selling them on Ebay. Tickets that were free are selling for $150.........

We're not doing the parade today. My dad was going to take my two kids but the rain delay moved the parade to halloween and there is no way my
1st and 4th graders were about to miss the party at school. But...

Go Phillies!! You earned it!!!

I wish I could have went to the parade, however 1 and a half million people is to big a crowd for me.

Now if the Eagles would only win a super bowl this year, or any year for that matter, I would be even happier..

There would have been more people there but Septa and PATCO couldn't handle all the people!
