A couple of questions regarding the Dolphin.

Any suggestions on the location of the room. I'm afraid of heights so a balcony is out of the question unless they have them on the 2nd and 3rd floor-ha!ha! My only requests were a non-smoking room and keeping my fingers crossed for a newly referbished room with the heavenly beds. I'll be traveling with my DH and 2 DS (11&8)and DD(6), so we were hoping for a great room but also something close to the pools, rest, etc...

I've read on these boards that some people were fourtunate enough to upgrade their rooms--how do you do that if you are not a starwood member? I have an AMER EX corp. card, does that help?

I've read great reviews about the pool. Does anyone know how deep the entry is at the end of the waterslide and do they offer life jackets?

Sorry so many ?s and if these have been asked before, any responses would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to be close to the pool, request a room on the West Wing. You should have no problem getting one WITHOUT a balcony. You might want to get one with a view of the fireworks if you care to upgrade. Joining Starwood Club is free. You can do it online at spg.com. I think you have to get a Starwood AM EX to have any benefits.

Life jackets are free. I think the pool is 3 feet at the water slide.

Renovations are complete up to the 5th floor.
