I have been really sick for over a week with fever, laryngitis, sinus symptoms, and sore throat. I went to the doctor yesterday and was diagnosed with Strep (3rd time since Dec 21), bacterial sinus infection, and bronchitis. I was given an antibiotic shot, Ceftin oral antibiotics, and Albuterol/Advair for the bronchitis. My upper eyelids were a little swollen yesterday, and my doctor was concerned. I am running a low-grade fever only.

I am no better today, very achy, lethargic, horrible sinus headache, and my eyes are more swollen. They are very tender to the touch. Should I go to the ER to be checked out? I'm an RN, and I'm concerned the eyelids are turning into preseptal cellulitis.

Suggestions please or advice?

First I will need your $25.00 co-pay please!

I would give your doc a call and see what he would want you to do. I do hope you feel better, I've had that myself for the last month and it is no fun! Feel better....:goodvibes

Thanks, Kitty. You take care of yourself too! You already have enough on your plate.

Eeks! that was my first thought too. I'm not a doctor, but I've been an RN for 29yrs. At the least call your doctor. If your eyelids are looking red then you probably need an exam.
