I used to purchase my AP through the Disney Club at a discount. Now that the DC is defunct, is there anywhere you can purchase APs at a discounted rate?

There are currently no discounts available on AP's or PAP's. I really miss the DC and have found that the Visa card has not been a good replacement for it. :mad:

AMEN to THAT!!::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Thanks. I figured as much but didn't know if I was missing something.

The only discount that I'm aware of for APs is through the military. I miss the Disney Club!

Me too! Especially since there hasn't been a replacement for Canadians :( :(

You do get a discount if you renew your current passes either over the phone or by mail. I think it works out to about $35/pass.
You are sent plastic vouchers, like credit cards, that you turn in for the actual AP. The only downside is that these passes become effective when your current ones expire. So if you are not going back to WDW in the near future you might lose some months of use.

Really? Would my son be able to purchase those for us as well or would he only be able to get his?

What about AAA, do they discount them??

AAA does not sell annual passes. I am not sure if your son can purchase them for everyone, but, he certainly can ask.

phorsenuf, unfortunately, no, your son could not purchase them for you...actually let me qualify that. He could purchase them for you but Disney has the right to ask for a military ID every time you use them. If you do not have a military ID and are not with anyone with a military id, they can confiscate the AP or any other pass that has a military discount. My sister and son-in-law are in the Navy, stationed in Pensacola. When we went to WDW in March, I asked them the same thing b/c of the discount they would get and they can purchase them for up to five family members. I think the military price at that time (the costs changes continually) was $99 for a five day pass! Of course she was willing to get them for me, but then I saw on a website the above info about having a military person present when the passes were used. I called her and she spoke with someone in charge of military sales, and they confirmed that if a military person was not present they would confiscate the cards :(

Wasn't worth the risk for me...it would have been my luck to be asked for id and lost the tickets!

It would be different if you only went with your son present; but unfortunately, my sister was unable to join us because of her training schedule :( Maybe next year...

I did a lot of search beofore purchasing our APs and did not find source of discount fpr AP or PAP

I just bought 2 APs and 2 PAPs. I miss not having the Disney Card discount.
