Any discounts on a new Sam's Club membership?

I'm thinking of joining Sams Club...does anyone know of any discounts or special offers to new members?

Here in Michigan last week. Free $20 gift card to new members only for the yearly card. Give your local Sams a call. Not sure if it is all states.

We have signed up the last two years under our college DD. They sign up and get a free extra card (so I get that one in my name) and they also get a gift card (I think its $20, but cant remember for sure). I use that of course, since we are paying for the membership Not sure if you have a college age kid or not, but its an option if you do

I did something similar last summer. I was taking a post-grad class, and that was sufficient for the collegiate membership. I did get the $20 gift card which I spent on that trip. I think it was $40 (not counting the gift card).

Thanks!! My kids aren't in college *yet*. They do have a $20 gift card offer with the advantage plus membership, but I elected just to get the basic $40 membership for now.....

Correct...the membership was $40, and then we got the gift card
You just have to show your college ID.

Do you have a Discover Card? You can use your $40 of your CashBack bonus to purchase membership and get a $10 gift card.

Get the advantage plus and the $20 gift card. Then, in a few months, cancel the advantage plus, get $60 refund and your $40 membership will have cost $20 (since you get to keep the GC)
