any discount rooms left for september?

I have gone onto Disneys website and to expedia. Promotional fares and specials and my dates are sept 2nd to sept 9th, and nothing is coming up.

WHen I say nothing, I mean none of the resorts are showing availability. I thought it would be great to get a discount room rate, since I missed free dining. Guess I missed the boat! I also have been on the dvc rent/trade board and no one has anything there for that week either.

ANyone able to get any rooms for that week? any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, I just went in to the "Special Offers" on the WDW website and found this (under the room only special) for 9/2-9/9. Just checked a couple different ones because I wasn't sure what you were looking for, but for example $69 at POP (was same at All Star Sports) is pretty reasonable! :

You might check on there again, maybe they were having computer problems when you checked before?

If nothing else, call them tomorrow and ask them about your dates with code BUL (room only) or ZJU or ZJY for a regular Magic Your Way Package, ZJV or ZJZ for a Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining. (The various codes give the same discount - it doesn't matter which one you use.)

wow, nothing came up when I tried it earlier today. I even went to expedia and tried for the deluxe resorts and all showed no availability. I will try again, could be my computer or disney was having a problem again.

when they had the free dining no matter what I tried I couldnt get my computer to show me any results.

I am a passholder, but first time trying to use it this way. When I went onto the site for 2 adults sept 19th I got offered all starts music, but as a suite, don't need that.

I'd call in and doublecheck, and then if nothing, I found this on the regular website:

If you go to the right hand side at the bottom and choose "Great Resort Offers" (these already have code built in) and then scroll down and click on "Get Started" in the middle of the ad that comes up (Find the Best Fit for Your Family) and then choose your date and click on All Star Music it shows this is available for September 19:

I just called to ask about room only ressies for sept. 2-7 with the discount code and she said they had NO availability at any resorts with the codes. UGHHHHH!

I really really wanted to stay at WL for the $140 rate. Guess we decided too late about our vacation.

I can however still get a rate of $119 online for CBR and the CM gave me a rate of $180 over the phone. Why is this?

Do you think there is a possibility of any rooms opening up at WL with the discount code? What should I do? It will be DH, me and DS almost 2. I loved the look of the pool area for DS at WL, but also like the look of the pools at CBR. We have only stayed onsite once at POFQ.

Any suggestions or ideas?!?!?!!?

Hi Punkinsmomma,

Try this for room only discounts:

1. Go to disney website
2. Scroll towards the bottom and click on the 'Great Resort Offers' link in the bottom right.
3. Once the page loads, scroll towards the middle and click on 'Get Started'
4. Enter your check-in date as September 2 and your check-out date as September 7 or 9, whichever you want.
5. Fill in # of Adults as 2 and # Children as 1. Then put in your child's age, which I think was 2.
6. Click the Continue button.
7. Once the new page loads, at the top the drop-down menu has 'All Walt Disney World Resorts' in it. Change the drop-down to 'Deluxe Resorts'. The screen should refresh to show you only 8 resorts.
8. Scroll down until you find the Wilderness Lodge (towards the bottom) and click the Select button for that resort.
9. By default, it will have your room type as Standard Room - Club Level. Instead, click the radio button for Standard View and your screen will refresh again.
10. It should now say that the room rate for each night is $140. Scroll down just a little bit and click the Update button. At the top it will give you your total for the stay that includes taxes.
11. You can now click the 'Select This Offer' at the bottom to start making the reservation.

Let me know if you still aren't getting this great rate of $140/night for the Wildnerness Lodge.

It totally worked. I was not paying attention to the room type. I booked and got the $140 rate. Wonder why when I called the CM said they didn't have any rooms available at that rate?

I can't wait to do to Disney again, and now it will be even better that we are getting such an awesome deal at the WL!

Glad I could help! I am excited for you that you are getting the $140/night rate. I need one night in September and would like the Wilderness Lodge but the rate comes up $195/night for Sep 14. Still a good rate but when I know the week before it is $140/night I don't want to pay $195

Thanks seahunt! In tweeking my ressies and seeing the discount you found, I tried getting POR 19th and 20th(room only) 2 adults with that discount and it just keeps kicking to the Music or deluxes

I have been trying for the deluxe resorts and for Sept 2nd - Sept 9th the higher rates come up starting over $215 AKL and $315 at BWI and Wilderness lodge comes up $215. I went to the bottom of the screen, clicked on great resort rates, get started and then great rates for September and AUgust come up and I scroll down to Deluxe resorts and my dates show the high rates. Maybe nothing is left?

Am I out of luck for that week?

I followed ckoester's guidelines(see post above) for the WL and it worked for the $140 rate for that week. The default for the room selection is not the Standard View Room, so you need to change that. Then the lower rate should show up.
