looking for any codes for bare essentials (doesn't have to be their website, since dept stores also carry it)

I don't have any current discount codes, but if you sign up at Ulta.com they have 20% off anything coupons every few months or so if you're an active rewards member. (You have to watch these, though, because most of the coupons they send out don't work for the "prestige" cosmetics.)

I've also seen Sephora send out 20% off anything coupons to their rewards members, but it happens a lot less with them.

I've bought mine from ebay before. You can get some good deals. Just be sure the person is selling new and unopened. Check their feedback, like you would for anything.
