Any difference between DLR and WDW DVC?

Hi all,

I live in California and so I wondered about the DLR DVC and any differences there might be between that and WDW.

It seems likely I would get to DLR more often than WDW (except I like WDW better)

I know if I bought at DLR DVC then I could use my points at WDW at a 7month window, right? Are there any other restrictions?

Has anyone bought in California DVC (sorry, I don't know the name of the resort) recently. What about incentives for first-time buyers? I read somewhere that incentives might be better to attract west coasters to DVC.

The DVC units at the Grand Californian (VGC) are still under construction and have not gone on sell yet. The DL DVC office is selling the AKV in WDW right now, 100 point min buy in with a $8 discount ($104-8=$96 per point). Purchasing at DL DVC gets you into the VGC Founding Members program which gives you the opportunity to purchase VGC prior to it being sold to the DVC membership or public.
