any delays from new airport security?

since the UPS scare, has anyone noticed any significant delays at NY area airports? We are flying out of Newark tomorrow...

We had a delay yesterday, around noon, at MCO when trying to return home to Philly. Arrived at the airport 2 hours before my flight using DME, and had to wait at the Southwest counter for 45 minutes due to a problem with my boarding pass.

Whe we arrived at the security line, we found it to be extremely long and not moving. Took about an hour to get through there. This was the worst delay we ever experienced at MCO. Finally got to the gate 5 mintues before the plane started boarding. Talk about cutting it close!

I have flown out of three airports since the latest "panic" by the TSA. No delays (as a matter of fact LAX was FASTER then the last time I used it)

MCO should never be considered "normal" Delays there are normal when the rest of the system works just fine.

Clear returns today I believe. You have to figure that there is a reason the 'investors' in a pay service that speeds up security choose Orlando as one of thier two "strat ups" They know that business travelers are fed up with the disaster that is MCO!

Flew to our North home last night from MCO. Took about 10 minutes to get through security. This was late afternoon.

Not NYC, but SFO's Terminal One on Saturday AM was the usual cluster---painful, but not any worse than normal.
